Nations 555 from Kalispell, MT, USA
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I would give this a 7.5 out of 10.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have two cases made by ProStageGear and PedalTrain. They have gone on some major excursions with me to Australia, India, Thailand, and other parts of the USA. However, some of the rivets have started coming off. But I think that just goes to show you how much the airlines are throwing around luggage and why you need a good case.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a great case for the traveling musician. I am a recording artist, and I tour internationally every year. That means I have to FLY, not drive. That also means I have to trust my gear to airlines. Sadly, I have had three guitars damaged on airlines now, but the airlines will accept no responsibility. And because of terrorism, I often am not allowed to bring my guitar on board any flight these days. This case helps me feel more confident that my gear will be safe.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This is a heavy case. With my Taylor guitar inside, I have been able (so far) to travel without paying for an oversized bag. BUT you must tell them it's a guitar or they will charge you because it IS oversized.
I repeat, it's heavy. But there are wheels, and that helps if you are having to walk through airports.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
This thing looks pretty when you buy it. Plan on it looking scratched up after your first flight. It is supposed to keep your guitar looking nice!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
