General What is your overall opinion of this product? I got the Aviator 8" from AMIS this a.m. & have been playing it ever since with different guitars: Fender Tele, Strat, and Epi semihollow with Duncan Antiquities. Despite the 8" speaker this amp is loud, with surprisingly good bass response. Clean channel #1 (think Fender DR clean) tone control is very responsive. Reverb and dwell on both channels. (The reverb sounds 'metallic' & digital past around 9 o'clock, which is a 1/2 star deduction; I may not have the hang of it yet, though.) Nice crunch on the gain channel (#2) but not as responsive with pick attack as a Wampler Tweed '57 pedal, but amp alone might do in a pinch. No concerns about volume; if you come up short use a cabinet. The YouTube videos represent the amp's sound accurately, except I was able to dial in a better jazz guitar tone (Polytone-esque). As of 4/15 Quilter's website indicates that this model is out of production, so you might want to jump on this deal now if you play mostly clean or with a bit of hair.

What is your overall opinion of this product? the first one I received had a defective speaker connection. I had a gig that weekend and didn't have time to wait for ams to deal with it. I'd heard about Quilter's awesome cust sevc, so I called the company direct for possible solutions. They were great! Owner, Pat Quilter, met me at their SoCal headquarters to swap out for a brand new amp on my way to my gig! My hat's off to Pat, Chris and Nichole at Quilter for unheard of customer service. Amp performed way beyond expectations for a sub-30# combo. Pristine clean headroom, way louder than I generally need to be, and this was an outdoor gig. Reverb has level AND dwell and go from blues to over the top surf wash. I mostly use the clean side and use my great pedals for dirt, etc. also a great grab n go amp with just amp/guitar/cable/foot switch for jams. Gain left of noon for nice blues, or dime for fuzz-like tones. It's not a fender, cox or Marshall, but I leave those at home now...and my back and ears love it! Thanks Quilter!

What is your overall opinion of this product? I wanted a small, clean amp for jazz and blues, and the Ultralight accomplishes this, for the most part. It is very well made; the leather strap exudes quality, and the knobs are tight and smooth. As other reviewers have mentioned, the sound is tube-like; however, reviews on the Quilter website describe the bass response as “jaw dropping,” and I would disagree. It’s a small amp in a small box, and the sound tends to be a bit two dimensional. The speaker baffle is not ported, so any bass comes directly from the speaker. The Ultralight’s bass is tight, and overall has a high fidelity tone quality. It has great touch sensitivity. The control knobs greatly affect the tone, and you have to read the manual to understand how they work. Compared to my Roland Cubes, the Ultralight's sound is more defined and hi-fi. Overall, it's a keeper.

Your general opinion of this product. I'm just a hobbyist, but I've got ears and this sounds wonderful by itself, and pushed through a 12" cab I built it is HUGE! (Cannabis Rex speaker). Many, many tones hidden in some very simple controls
