Much like when an auto mechanic gets your car ready. Rain turns off the programs that will slow your processor down. As I said it's ready for the more serious user who wants to maximize its performance. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? If you have some knowledge of computers you can navigate through this without too many problems. I did contact Rain tech support once and they answered my question promptly. The "sandbox" with windows xp was unique for me and I rather like the idea I don't have to load spyware and bog the computer down. Value Was this item an overall good value? Who wants to spend over a thousand dollars? I don't but if you have to, this is the one to get. It's expandable and with 8 usb ports plus firewire and esata what else do you need? 7200rpm duel-sided, three video hook ups I don't think Rain left anything out of the mix.
