So I tried one of these after using an Evans Emad for over 10 years straight. Honestly, my first impression is not very positive. Maybe it has to break in and settle in, but it sounds a bit bland. The emads would be dialed in right away. Thr construction is top notch, amd I have no issues with the head itself.

you can make any kick drum on the planet instantly "h*ll yEah" by simply installing this head just a bit more than finger tight, wanna go "vinnie paul" put a flam slam on and use a wood beater, 5 stars doesnt cut here people, this drum head goes to 11
