Quality:
Yes, well-crafted. She is like a brand new car!
Features:
I love the Ric-o-Sound feature! This bass comes with a second output jack to enable one to attain stereo sound! This requires the owner to seek out additional equipment such as a "y" cable and an additional instrument cable. fairly inexpensive and worth it for the sound. I just tried it today for the first time! I used my Ampeg PF500 and a Marshall 200 watt! this baby sounds better than ever.
Playability and Feel:
Beatiful growl to it. The neck is perfect, bigger than my Schecter, but smaller than my Fender.
Tone:
Love everything about this bass and it's pickups. Especially the ability to split them. (See above.)
Action:
Awesome! Sounded beautiful and still does!

Waited nearly 30 years to get this.....Worth the wait.
Quality:
This bass is solid. From Head to base, this instrument is top-notch. The quality of the hardware is match by the pick-ups, tone and the finish. It comes with a rugged case with ample room for everything you take with you.
Features:
The pick-up capacitor switch is a great feature. This makes the instrument very versatile. The standard mutes add a bit if class to this. I use them mainly to reproduce the Pino Paladino fretless tone. It does a pretty good job with that. Especially since it isn't a fretless. The neck through is rock solid and the binding looks fantastic.
Sound:
Here is where the baby shines. The tone is absolutely brilliant. The different pick up settings give this such versatility and I just cannot see this not being able to be used on just about anything. The wiring is pristine. Removing the pick plate reveals pure wiring craftsmanship.
Playability and Feel:
The neck is somewhat fast. It can be a little work getting used to the pickup/hand guard but I haven't gotten to the point where I felt I needed to remove it. The body is very thin giving it the slick classic look it is known for.
Tone:
The tone varies from extremely bright to the classic treble punch all the way down to a boomy low. Personally, I feel it shines in the mid/treble punch area. I use it with it's natural growl and some added overdrive but it sounds great at any setting.
Finish:
I cannot describe the finish without using words like "brilliant", "gleaming", "slick", "beautiful" and "amazing" so I won't. It is a work of art. I opted for the Maple Glo because most of the reason I wanted to own this bass was because of Chris Squire. I grew up on his playing and his was nearly the same finish. You cannot understand how great this looks until you actually see it up close.
Action:
The action was a bit high and a little bow in the neck but it was sitting for some time. This was understandable since the item is pricey and I am sure it isn't being sold daily from AMS. A quick set-up corrected everything.

I've had this bass since just before Christmas, and it hasn't let me down yet!! This is a very well made bass!!
Features:
The best feature of this beast of of bass is everything!!!
Sound:
The sound is AMAZING!!!! Whether you like a clean sound or a more punchy sound, this bass is more than capable!!
Playability and Feel:
It's a little heavy, but once you get used to it, you don't even notice the weight. The neck took a little getting used too. It's a bit thicker than what I was used to playing.
Tone:
I love the bright, snappy sound it produces. It really goes well with most music styles.
Finish:
I have the JetGlo finish, and it looks amazing!!
Action:
The action was a little too high for my taste, but got it adjusted, within a few minutes, to where I like it.

Yes, this bass is of high quality.
Features:
the sound. the overall feel and the appearance make for an awesome bass!
Sound:
It has brights, lows, growls and everything in between!
Playability and Feel:
This is a heavy bass. I bought a three inch padded strap and it helped me get through 4 hour gigs. Otherwise, it feels incredible!
Tone:
There are so many different ways to adjust and set the tone. The tone is a little on the bright side, but with my rig, i have made adjustments and get the low growl I love!
Finish:
I have the Mapleglo and all I can say is that it was breath taking! BEAUTIFUL! I always get compliments on how great it looks!
Action:
The action was a little high out of the box for me. However, everyon ehas their own personal preference. I ended up taking it to my guy and had it set up and it played perfectly and felt good.

The Great RIC BASS!
Quality:
Awesome quality, always.
Features:
the unique sound of the pickups and the unmistakable RIC Bass feel.
Sound:
The sound is fantastic. This bass is punchier and more ballsy than others I've owned (other RIC's)
Playability and Feel:
This one is exceptionally light weight and the neck is not as chunky as most. All electronics are perfect.
Action:
The action was horrible! The neck was bowed like crazy but I got it under control after a lot of tweaking.

Outstanding Bass--The Best
Quality:
The craftsmanship is second to none. I was in a music store today handling several othe basses, and there is simply no comparison. A Rick is a Rick--period.
Features:
The quality build and of course, the classic Rick sound.
Sound:
4003 has a pull-push knob for the classic Rick sound, and a separate input jack for the same thing. Amazing. They guys think of everything.
Playability and Feel:
Fast. Ricks are no light, but they are not as heavy as some basses, either. I had a 4001 years ago, so using the controls is second nature to me.
Tone:
Absolutely. I can get any sound from this I want.
Finish:
Perfect velvet, with that classic Rickebacker finish. Glass feels rough by comparison.
Action:
Perfect. Fast, smooth--felt as if someone has been playing it for months and it was broken in.

Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo
Quality:
The craftsmanship and quality of my bass was obvious the second I opened the case. The pride taken in the manufacture of the bass is evident from the minute you pick it up and play it.
Features:
I don't think anything could make a Rickenbacker better. In my opinion it is one of, if not the best basses out there.
Sound:
The tone is classic Ric. But you can also get the more generic (for lack of a better word) sound of other basses by pushing in the tone control and using the standard input jack.
Playability and Feel:
The playability of this bass is what you would expect from a Ric. Low action, thin neck, perfect set up, great bass all around. The only thing I might change is removing the pickup cover as it sometimes gets in my way.
Tone:
You can get any sound you could want with this bass.
Finish:
The Jetglo finish was perfect. Not a flaw to be found.
Action:
The action on my bass was perfect right out of the box. Set up low and very easy to play.

My Fender is now my second choice....
Quality:
Very well built....I was very surprised, honestly...I've heard many complaints about new Rickenbackers lacking the quality of older ones, but it was exceptional right out of the box...I've owned 2 Rics before but never a brand new one...takes the cake for sure!
Features:
Solid construction....very reliable....not too many tone options but that's not expected with a Ric...you either love the tone or hate it....
Sound:
Classic Rick tone...though I prefer the more balanced tone with the tone knob pushed in on the bridge pickup...
Playability and Feel:
Fast playing neck...the setup was prefect when I took it out of the box...I was completely blown away!
Tone:
Very bright.... works well for heavier and more aggressive rock...not as focused in the low end as my Fender Jazz, but has a character all its own...
Finish:
Flawless...it's a beauty!
Action:
Again, I've read user reviews that dogged how the bass was setup when they bought it, but they must have gotten a bad egg...the action was perfect! I still can't believe how well it played....
