Control knobs, lights, jacks etc. everythings dandy and seems to be well put together.

I've only had it a month but Rocktron has a solid reputation, so we should be good.

Your general opinion of this product.
I've tried every tube based distortion/o.d. pedal I could find. Blackstar, Ibanez, Rocktron and a few others. None of them sucked but for playing Metal, this pedal and the Blackstar Distx tied for first place. This being the opinions of nearly every guitarist and Metal head that I could find and poll in Western Washington.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Everything about this pedal appears to be fully functional.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The Awaken or the overdrive side of the Silver Dragon is whats tube driven and by itself sounds great. It also has to be on in order to hear and use the Slayer/distortion side. The breath control seems to do very little to the tone, but it DOES do something. It is however more noticeable with higher output pickups. The actual TEXTURE and sustain of this thing is what really stands out. I find myself omitting any and all other effects because this things tone in its purest form is compelling, addicting and generally quite desireable. I imagine if I were to replace the tube with something of the chinese variety, i.e. higher gain, it might be possible to up the intensity level a bit. YIKES!

How did the stain or paint job look?
There was a couple of minor scuffs underneath. So I hope it wasn't B-stock cuz I paid for a new one.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Yeah, set up was pretty much as quick as you would hope simple pedal should be.
