It is magic

Your general opinion of this product.
I got this because I have been doing a lot of sound effect recordings the past few years and wind is always an issue when outside. I've paired it with a stereo shotgun mic and run tests in a variety of wind situations and it has performed beautifully. There is a bit of high end detail lost when using the dead wombat, but that is physics, not any fault in the product design.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Although it is about twice as big as I thought it would be, it is extremely well made and comes with a load of extras and spare parts. They have thought of every detail in allowing you to customize your setup based on mic size, weight distribution, angle of the handle, etc. The ability to run a cable inside the handle is a very nice touch, and I am glad they gave me the ability to replace it with a stereo 5 pin cable so easily.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very easy to use, and it works perfectly. I even pointed it at a fan in my tests, and although the resulting sound was wind "noise", it sounded like fan blades pushing air, not that overloaded rumble caused by air slamming into the microphone's diaphragm.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I honestly would love it if it was smaller. I understand they want to accommodate a bunch of different sized microphones, but my sound effect rig is small and portable, and the simple addition of the blimp has tripled the footprint of my gear. The upside is that is very lightweight, so it adds nothing to the overall weight of my rig, just the size of my carrying case. It is all worth it though when you find yourself in a windy situation; this works better than I expected.
How is the tone?
Clear as a bell.
