Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? I use a pair of NT 2A mics for recording small string ensembles in relatively good acoustic environs... They perform well in Figure 8 and Omni, which is how they are used mostly...

Your general opinion of this product. This is my desert island mic. It is the cornerstone of my commercial recording studio. It is extremely quiet, sensitive and has an incredibly realistic, transparent sound. It therefore takes EQ very well. It is exceptionally versatile, working well on many vocalists, toms, horns, guitar cabinets, cellos, violins, you name it. It is even credible on applications that are usually assigned to small diaphragm condensers, like acoustic guitar and percussion. I have used it to record choirs and orchestras and other stereo pair acoustic applications with great success. Own at least two of these, so you can use them as a stereo pair.
