Product Review
This broadcast mic is right up there with the SM7B in my opinion. The build quality is awesome, made to last, looks and works absolutely great for the two months that I have used it. I have also tried singing with this on music podcast & it sounded really good for singing when it comes to the budget mic like this for podcast.
I really like this mic and This Procaster mic I would recommend highly to anyone looking to get a mic that sounds great and doesn't need phantom power.

Build quality is absolutely elegant!! Couldn't be happier with this brand because it's right up there with the sm7b mics in my opinion. Shipping was smooth and ahead of time actually! Excellent purchase from an excellent company. Will be purchasing with them again.

Product Review
We launched a new podcast with these mics, along with the Rode ProCaster. We were shocked at how the products made our new podcast sound like we had been doing shows for years with really high end or costly equipment. I went back and bought one more for a third option.

Product Review
I was going back and forth between waiting for the PodMic or getting the Procaster or SMB7. After watching a bunch of videos comparing them as well as other podcasters setups, I decided to go with the Procaster...and it hasn’t disappointed. I’m really impressed with the build quality and the sound. I ended up pairing both mics with a Cloudlifter and the Rode WS2 windscreen just to make sure I was giving myself the best possible quality I could. They sound amazing!

I went from a cheaper podcast-friendly mic to this one and the difference is incredible. Depending on your voice and mic positioning, plosives may still be an issue, but that can be easily solved with the windscreen that can be purchased as well. But this is a quality mic and Rode has a fan for life here.

First off...I would have given 5 stars...but, I haven't spent much time behind it in various sessions and applications. Build quality, internal shockmount and pop filter, price, reputation and a simple but useable carrying case, all make this mic a steal. Out the box this thing is a beast! the weight lets you instantly know you've got the real thing in a dynamic mic and once plugged in and pre cranked, you'll hear it! Solid mid freq. with smooth highs and a low end freq. kicking in @ 75hz. This mic is awesome for vocals, not just broadcasting or podcasting. Get it, you'll love it!

Rode Procaster between the RE20 & RE27

Made extra well, made heavy like a real Mic, and the 10 year warrenty tells you how well it is made
the way the mic sounds, the only thing I can think off is a roll off switch
real easy to use, right out of the box plug and play
The tone seams to work with my voice real good, very little EQ is needed.
Your general opinion of this product.
Great microphone that's right up with the high end Mic's

This mic is solid - built like a tank. Made as well as any rode mic. You could use it as a weapon.
Great sound and internal shock. Off axis noise rejection is great. There is no roll off switch or anything.
Easy to use. Just plug in. As far as mic technique you can't move around as much as you could with the ev re20 or 27, but you can move much more with the procaster than with the heil pr40 It's still a very comfortable mic to use.
The tone is surprisingly good. Very natural sounding. To my ears it has just the right amount of warmth and brightness. It sounds somewhere between the ev re20 & re27.
Its sounds great without any EQ but responds well to it - giving it good flexibility.
It has a nice proximity effect giving nice warmth. Very clean and tight, but still maintaining a natural quality. I find it very easy to maintain an even bass tone.
I own and am experienced with all the top quality dynamic mics and the Procaster is definitely one of them. If you're looking for a great broadcast quality mic on a budget this is a great mic to get. The lowest cost mic I have has become my #1 goto mic - I just trust my ears.
Note: The PROcaster sounds totally different than the PODcaster. I've heard some people say it's the same - it is NOT, check the frequency response. In my opinion the PROcaster sounds much better.
