Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Here's where it hurts the most. This Synth cost well over one thousand bucks but it feels like a toy. It's a very light plastic feel to it which I don't care for. A little bit of ruggedness could help. Maybe use some aluminum or steel to add more durability to it. I understand it's a shoulder strap synth so weight is an issue but more quality materials and less plastic wouldn't hurt. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? So far I pretty much got this to play the guitar effects which are amazing. The keys feel punchy and really respondent. It's kind of like a guitar shaped which means they adapted guitar like qualities but in synth form. Very Smart! very usable! Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? So many different functions but like us all who reads manuals first? We jump in and play and it was an adventure so many nice quality sounds and the controllers are right where you want them. Sound How is its Tone? Godly sounds! Action How was the action out of the box? Out the box it was a dream come true, finally a real Synth that looks the part. I was tired of holding my heavy Triton Sideways haha! Value Was this item an overall good value? Yes very much so! I look forward to mastering this synth.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Durable and well made, with some extras like cord holders, which is handy and rare on synths of this type. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I'd say the best feature is the internal sounds. The others in the AX series didn't have any of their own sounds Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? The internal sounds are extremely easy to access, and some of them are exceptional, very usuable without tweaking them at all. Sound How is its Tone? GREAT tones, and with the included software, all of them are tweakable to a great degree Action How was the action out of the box? The action is good and organ-like Value Was this item an overall good value? Yes, it was pricey, but it does live up to the dollar value

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The instrument seems to be pretty solid with no parts that will easily break or become worn. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? The best feature is the mobility. I was also pleasantly surprised with the usb connection to a computer that allows you to tweak all the sounds except the 8 supernatural. The amount of knobs and options allows you to create new sounds, add effects, reroute what each control does, change modulation speed, ASDR, change bender properties. If I could add one thing, it would be a screen so that you can make these adjustments without the aid of a computer. Also, they could add a drum patch and one or two more pianos. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? It's very easy to use. There is no guessing. I was able to play it right out of the box. If you want to take the reverb off of a sound then you have to read the manual. Sound How is its Tone? There are 8 banks with 32 sounds in each plus the 8 supernatural sounds. I think the supernatural sounds are sorry. I love the rock guitar sounds, but they switch to harmonics too quickly (sometimes leaving you with a piercing sound that causes you to want to change notes more frequently to aviod it). I'm sure it can be tweaked, but I haven't figured it out yet. The pipe organ is nice. The hammond is not so nice. The piano is ok. The synth brass is nice and the lead synth sounds are nice. You can not layer sounds. You can not split the board. (For 1299.99 you should be able to do that. I know Casios that can do that) Action How was the action out of the box? I am ok with the action. I mean it's not a grand. but the keys do have enough resistance to allow you to express yourself. (They feel a lot better than some of those MIDI controllers Value Was this item an overall good value? I think it's a little over priced. Other keyboards in this price range offer more features. I really think you're paying for the mobility. If you're gonna get it, then go all the way and get the wireless audio and wireless MIDI. Also, get rechargable batteries with at least 2450 mAh.

These sounds are surprizingly good, and very useful. There are many additions to the sensitivity of this instruement, which increase the playability of the sounds they provide. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? The manual is helpful, but I must admit that this AX is a little awkward. It is seemingly difficult to make immediate patch changes unless you preprogram them. Sound How is its Tone? Beautiful tones!! You'll be surprized as to how good it is!! Action How was the action out of the box? Surprizingly nice keyboard action, much like most quality lunchbox keyboards. Value Was this item an overall good value? A little pricey, but worth it

Now that I've taken her for a spin around the block a few times, the D-beam, touch controller and with the proximity of the modulation bar is pretty cool. Makes my playing sound and looking hotter than it really is (LOL)! I'm anxious to put this up against my guitar player and go toe to toe with him on our next gig!I was a hit with the AZ-1 and now I can only imagine what this instrument will add to my/our live performance! How playable do you consider this product to be? Very easy to use and start playing out of the box. Didn't take long to figure things out. The manual was pretty helpful. The AX Synth is very playable with the exception I would of preferred the "Hold" button and "Volume Knob" to be on the front or top of the neck instead underneath & hidden. The volume knob I would of made a slider. Both features should be in my opinion better accessible to the player. I have an Casio AZ-1 Shoulder synth/midi controller as well and its vol, sustain & mod wheels are very easy and friendly to access. All that said wouldn't of stop me from purchasing. Just have to adjust. Sound How is its Tone? The tones are very nice...especially the guitar leads...wow and then mixing it with the d-beam, touch controller & Mod bar...pretty awesome stuff. Action How was the action out of the box? Value Was this item an overall good value? Great value and would recommend to Keyboardist

Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? It takes a while to get used to playing like that, but it just takes some practice. The manual was helpful initially. This is the keyboard for live performance. Make sure to check out the bundled software. Sound How is its Tone? Excellent Sound. Action How was the action out of the box? Well packaged. took a while to get out of the box. PLs Note: Ams disappointed me by not providing the rechargeable batteries as it said on the site, and never replied to my subsequent emails. This is despite the fact that i had to wait 2 months for the keyboard. Value Was this item an overall good value? It bit expensive for the price, but its sure to get you attention.
