Nice and small and compact with great quality. I prefer this style of E. kicks just cuz the other ones are like little towers and this one you can put in a small case. Sound quality and sensitivity is absolutely amazing I am not disappointed at all! Specially with this payment plan it makes it easier since I really needed to get this ASAP!

The trigger is heavy duty, feels like it could take a beating for a long time. That said, I suggest you use a felt mallet.
It's pretty straight forward. Plug and play. Of course, there may be some bells and whistles that I am unaware of but it does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Well, outside of a drum machine or head unit, it only produces a "thud" from the hard rubber surface. However, when you add something like the Yamaha DTX Multi 12 like I have, then it sounds great!
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought this trigger because of it's low profile. Yes, it's cheaper than the other "tower" type kick triggers and it may feel less like a real kick but I wanted something with a low profile (something I could hide easily) with my percussion rig. And this thing fits the bill perfectly. I am very pleased.
It's a little pricey but it's a Roland product so part of the cost is the name but you get what you pay for...yes, it's true, you've been warned. Buy Yamaha or Roland and you won't be dissapointed.
Again, it's low profile which means it doesn't take up a lot of space and it isnt' very noticeable...which is exactly what I was looking for.

Roland has done it again, the trigger beater looks alot larger which is great because its a larger surface area for the trigger
just screw your kick pedal on the trigger base, plug the 1/4 cable and your good to go.
Triggers all the sounds great, very sensitive in response.

I think if your looking for a portable, great quality, SINGLE bass drum trigger, then look no further. I bought mine used from someone who owned it for over a year and it still response like new. If you want the ability to do double bass then upgrade to the kd8, but this is the ticket for single kick pedals.
This will last you a very long time even after months if not years of constant playing
The KD8 looks alot bigger than what the picture shows but in a good way. Simple and clean looking.
