Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Roland quality, I've learned, runs the gammut - from great to goofy. This litte unit is on the plus side. Well made, and very cool feature set for a small studio/practice amp Reliability How has it stood up over time? I bought the Micro-cube about 4 years ago. Roland products usually stand up pretty well. But I'm long enough in the tooth to know the importance of taking care of my gear - so, no worries with this product. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Hadn't used it in ages, but needed an overdriven British lead sound for a new tune I've just written and want to record. I own an AC-30 (British built) and a Peavey Valve-king - both of which are serious overkill in a small basement studio. So... I dragged out the little Roland, having forgotten just how juicy the sounds can be. Plugged in a Washburn HB-30 (ES-335 clone, w/ hot pickups), and voila! Great sound. Hardest part was sorting through all my wall warts to find the original one for the amp. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? N/A Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? A lot of sounds for a small package. 5 COSM-based amp models, chorus, phaser, delay, reverb. Single tone knob, Gain and Volume. Finish How did the stain or paint job look?
