Product Rating Product Review This is a great guitar for the money. I'm not an obsessive flattop acoustic afficionado and primarily play gypsy jazz on archtop Maccaferri-style acoustics and bebop jazz on electric archtops. I actually played one of these in a store on vacation outside of my state and would have purchased it there if not for the hassle of bringing it home on the plane. The sound seems well-balanced; not to twangy high or muddy bass-wise; more mids (like I prefer). Intonation is good and notes stay in tune moving all way up the fretboard. The overall finish of the guitar is very clean and polished. It doesn't feel blatantly "cheap" compared to my Jazz boxes and gypsy jazz guitars that cost 10-20 times more than this Silvertone. Fret edges are polished/rounded enough (something not typical for inexpensive guitars) so moving up and down the neck is pretty comfortable, but I did have the bridge shimmed because I prefer higher action 2.5-3mm at 12th fret. It looks cool too. I dig the retro yellow.
