Bought two pairs of these for strictly in studio use, however upon receiving them, one pair was completely broken but wasn’t worth returning and waiting for a replacement. If you’re in a pinch these will do the job fine for this price, but be realistic with your expectations.

I bought these headphones at a reasonable price. I also didn't expect anything special when they arrived.They feel really cheaply made and the sound isn't that great but if you just want them to listen to music they're good for just that. Please don't expect to mix and master with these because you will not hear all the frequencies. Once again if you just want to use them with your phone or plug into a mpe player that's all they're good for.

The sound of these is very good for the price. I needed some extra headphones in my home studio, and thought I’d try them. They’re great! Seem to be well constructed, and the fact that they came with the 1/8” to 1/4” adapter was a nice bonus too!

These headphones from Samson are a workhorse type general headphone. I got the set with the Behringer preamp and they work for what they’re worth. Again budget minded home studio’s can’t go wrong with this setup. If your looking for reference headphones for a 4 piece band it’s a great start ! The best discription I can give on overall sound of these would be they work best at moderate volume levels they distort at higher gain levels. The sound isn’t the cleanest as far as reference headphones are concerned but again will do the job when money is tight. Our band needed some reference headphones fast and on a budget and I purchased these and they were here before we dug into re recording some of our older mixes. Works fine for what they are !

4 stars because of the value. The sound is ok considering how affordable and lightweight they are, but the fit is very odd. Basically a squarish U shape instead of a semi circle, which causes the bottom of the cans to stick out. Definitely not for larger heads. If you've got massive flow growing up there, forget it. But again, do not lose sight of the fact that for those of us who hate ear buds, these are comparable in price, much better sounding and more comfortable & lightweight.

Of course you can buy $60 or $70 headphones but for the price of these phones you will be hard pressed to find a better sounding headphone. The build quality is solid. The fit is good also. For basic music listening and monitoring the Sampson phones are a great purchase.

These are decent, comfortable headphones if you have 1/8 connection. When using the adapter from 1/4 to 1/8 the sound does not transfer well. But, overall they are great set of cheap headphones. If you want them to work well in a studio environment, also purchase a 1/8 female to 1/4 male extension cable. This will eliminate you using the included adapter. HOSA sells an excellent extension adapter cable.

It's OK. Not great. Doesn't fit over ears. Mainly lays on top of them. The opening should be much larger.
Also the frequency response is much less than hoped for. Very little low end.

Inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. The sound is good. Time will tell if I should have purchased a better more expensive set. And I probably will. The only problem I had with it right out of the box was when I plugged it into my RP50 the 1/4" adapter was a bit loose between it and the 1/8" end on the headphone wire. And I lost contact. And I do if I do not keep a bit of tension on the headphone wire between me and the peddle.

I had a cheap eBay special and decided to step up just a notch so I bought this pair of headphones and they sound ok for the price and just about what one would expect for this price range. The bass range is a big improvement so I am ok with them for now, if I were doing Studio work then I would suggest spending more otherwise there ok.
