Your general opinion of this product.
When looking for a solid, affordable small form recording monitor for my limited space at home, I relied on my good experience with the smaller version of these (4a's) that I use in a voiceover studio at work. I noticed they were extremely accurate for mixing, and they sounded GREAT. So when time came to get new monitors at home, I stepped up to the 5a's and I'm not disappointed. Great sound, plenty loud, and way more accurate than anyone gives them credit for. They seem to be marketed as a more "multi-media" general powered speaker, but I can attest to their value as home studio monitors...they work great. Good product Samson !
