Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Overall quality is good but I did have a few problems at the start. I'll explain further below. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it for a little over a month but so far it's earned the top spot in my collection. General Your general opinion of this product. I love this guitar. Not only does it sound good, it looks and plays great! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It's as light as a feather; the neck is fast; the sustain is sweet! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? You can get what you want from this beauty! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The paint is amazing. I originally wanted the Red, then the Blue, then started hemming and hawing on the 3 Tone Sunburst. But then I thought the sunburst would make it look too vintage. So I got the Blue. The Blue was way darker than in the pictures and I did not like it. I ended up returning it due to a defect (the push/pull knob fell right out of the guitar when I unboxed it) and it was out of stock so I changed it to the 3 Tone Sunburst. Let me just say I am glad I did it. It is BEAUTIFUL. Action How was the action out of the box? The action was damn near perfect but I did lower the bottom end slightly.
Insane sound quality

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I did find a few minor things like the truss rod cover sprung a bit and one section where the ABS trim (purfing?) wasn't uniform. But those items were very small issues and not noticable. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Have not had it long. General Your general opinion of this product. This guitar is really a pleasure to play. Don't believe what you've read about painted fretboard rubbing off on your fingers. This is a genuine ebony fretboard, smooth and fast. I've played for hours at a time and absolutely no dark marks on your fingers. I love the locking grover tuners. It stays in tune when you bend and makes string replace almost a joy to perform. This guitar has really made me want to play and practice more and I'm glad I finally decided to buy it. My fingers were just too short for the fat neck on my Les Paul Ultra II. This one is just so playable. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? About a 1 1/2 lbs lighter than a strat. The neck feels just a bit heavier than the C-1 plus. The neck is fairly thin and narrow like a strat and the frets are about 0.015" lower than the super jumbo ones on the C-1 plus. I think it's a lot more playable than the C-1 plus and of course all the controls are very easy to get at. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I think with the single coil options, you can get a huge range of tones. It can sound like a beefy Les Paul or a chimey strat and much in-between. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? This guitar is looker. The pics make the blue look very bright and it's much more sutle than that. It's almost got a blue green tint and the back is much more green than blue. Action How was the action out of the box? It was set very low and just a little bit buzzy. It's at 1.6mm on low E and I may tweeak it up jsut a little bit. The intonation was set on 3 of the strings and not set on the wound string.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I consider this guitar to be of top quality construction and materials. As dependable as it gets for me, a non-professional. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Judging from previous Schecter guitars I have owned, I expect this guitar to last me a life-time. Solid as a rock. General Your general opinion of this product. When you can buy this kind of quality guitar at the very low price of $699, it's a no-brainer. This guitar in my opinion compares favorably with instruments costing much much more - hundreds if not thousands more! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I love the feel and playability of this guitar. It has quickly become my favorite. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I love the tone and versatility of the pickups. The coil-splitting ability is icing on the cake. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Superb. Better than much more expensive guitars. Action How was the action out of the box? Amazing. This guitar required only slight tuning adjustment out of the box. The string height and intonation was spot on. It's obvious that the Schecter technicians put a lot of pride in their work. I am very impressed.
