I bought this guitar on a whim after having only played Gibson sgs my the better part of ten years. The neck is similar. Slim, with a classical width fret board. I love the active picks sound. I do break more strings then I wish, tho I'm sure it's just because of the bridge being so new. Would recommend. I pair it with a friend man be od, earthquaker reverb and comp and an ampeg vt22. Very happy with it. I was able to find a case on Facebook marketplace for 50 bucks.

I love this guitar! It’s definitely a beautiful instrument. Plays like a dream too. I mainly play metal and this axe was made for metal! It’s even better looking in person. It came pretty much set up out of the box. I’ve had zero issues with it. Do yourself a favor and get this guitar. You won’t regret it trust me!

Stunning to look at. Feels heavy, but oh so good to hold. Sustain is excellent, and the shape begs you to use the high frets. Action is just right out of the box; not too high or low. I haven't found a tuning that didn't produce a pitch perfect tone on each string. This is by far the best guitar I've ever owned.

I like Schecter guitars and always heard good things about the Hellraiser models. This thing came out the box set up ready to play. It looks gorgeous and plays just as good as it looks. Smooth neck, stays in tune, and the Emg pickups sound great. I play everything from blues and jazz to hard rock and metal. It handles it all. I highly recommend this guitar.

the neck and tone are unbelievable the spit coils are what sold me on it, they can give you more of a bluesy sound if you want. The neck is a fast thin u shape for sheading. all and all its a good all around guitar you can get a lot of different tones.

This guitar is incredible. I have always been a jackson guitar player but i seen the price on this schecter and went for it. The multiple sounds u can get with the emg pickups and they are active is awesome,from a deep warm thick sound to a thin clean almost acoustic sound is great. The finish on this guitar is beautiful and replacing the strings and tuning is easy as eating pie. This is a professional to a new starting out players tool.

First off, I just want to say this is an amazing guitar and easily punches above its price point. I am an intermediate guitar player dipping into advanced territory, and this Schecter easily competes with guitars that cost over $2000. My main focus for this guitar was its sound and fixed bridge. Needed a slight setup out of the box, and now plays flawlessly. The EMG 81/89 set here, along with its mahogany body, is very versatile and plays everything I need (metal, rock, blues, pop, country). Its core is metal & rock, for which it excels woderfully. But it can easily handle other genres very well too with push-pull coil tap on the 2 volume knobs, which was a selling point for me.
The incredible sound this guitar produces already sold me, but to sweeten the deal, Schecter puts so many more amazing features in! The locking tuners work great! The guitar is built with a thin set-neck design, making it easy and effortless to shred across the neck with easy access to high frets. The binding on the body add a touch of premium finish, and I personally love the inlays in the fretboard! And one last convenient quality-of-life touch is that the battery cover is a clip-on, not a screw! I've gotten many compliments on this Hellraiser! And despite the name, it doesn't look outrageous, which is perfect! Amazing sound, feel, looks, and playability. Definitely a keeper! Will be buying more Schecters in the future!

Not only was I impressed by the looks/playability of this guitar, I was blown away by the no-fuss ordering process. It was delivered quickly...in about a day or so, and it was packaged better than my expectations. As soon as I opened it I knew I had made the right choice. This guitar is beautiful came set up and ready to play. I purchased the Gloss white and the finish is unbelievably amazing. Sounds amazing on both clean and distorted channels. The one thing that I confused me is Shecter wires the neck pick up to the middle knob and bridge to the front knob but after a couple hours with this guitar I dont even notice anymore.

I cannot say enough about this guitar (I own the red one). I have owned mine for a little over 10 years now and it is my favorite guitar. This thing plays like a dream and has never let me down. It still looks beautiful even after all these years. I feel like I can play anything and it perfectly suits my needs. It has a great hard rock/metal tone but the EMG pickups sound great clean too. Not many people say too much about the clean side but it really shines thru on a clean channel as well. Its pretty versatile and can play just about any genre of music(besides metal). My only problem is that I don't have another one in a different color.

Straight out of the box this Schecter is ready to play. Smoothest neck I've felt on a guitar. Packaging is very safe so your guitar won't get damaged. EMG pickups sound great with heavy metal. The aesthetics are very nice as well. White guitar and dark neck really make it stand out. This guitar is very light so you literally won't get tired of playing it.
Two volume knobs for the two pickups, Ive never had that before, it's a great feature to have. Overall a great guitar. Fits my style and looks great. Cant go wrong with schecter!

Pictures do not do this guitar justice. It is a beautiful instrument. The guitar arrived in tune! I immediately plugged it in and started jamming. No set up required. Although the action could be slightly lower, the neck is fast and smooth. I love this guitar!

Over the past week since this beauty arrived, she has quickly become my absolute favorite guitar that I have ever owned. Everything about this Hellraiser is amazing; it looks, feels and sounds incredible. I didn't think I would ever love a guitar more than my Schecter Blackjack C7, but I was wrong. There's something about this guitar that makes you feel like a rock god immediately upon picking it up.

I love this beautiful instrument, she plays like a dream and the sounds I can get go from insane to bursting clean tone. This Guitar is so much more than just a one stile machine, she plays what ever you want with so much grace to her sound. The EMG pickups have so much power it's mind blowing and they sound amazing. It's hard to believe this Guitar is under a grand with all the high end upgrades she has, and the inlay work on the fret board is so beautiful. I could go on and on about this Guitar but until you try one there's just no words to describe how great this Guitar is.
To me this Guitar is just right, not to chunky in the neck but not to thin, and the controls feel great. When you roll on the tone and volume it's very responsive and smooth.
Tone is what ever you want it to be, very strong to soft as and clean.
Finish is beautiful,
Action was great out of the box, just tune up and play and you can set her low if you like with no buzz.

I believe this guitar is built for quality with quality parts. The finish is very nice, no flaws. It's just a nice axe, no regrets on buying it.
Its very fast action and plays like butter. Not sure what else needs to be said.
Well, you can get all sorts of tone from this guitar thanks to the push/pull coil tap. Has humbuckers but you can split them into single coil pick ups so the options for tone are wide open.
It is flawless... looks fantastic!
Action out of the box was actually very nice. I figured I would have to do a setup, but its perfect.

The guitar right out of the box looks amazing, I love the EMG pickups...always have always will. Along with the cherry finish with the mother of pearl outline...downright sexy!
It plays really smooth, the controls are pretty basic so they don't need to be explained really. To me this guitar can do anything you want it to.

Plays nice and sounds big with the EMG's, and Groover Tuners are a nice touch. Looks pretty cool, but Abalone? Made in Korea was a concern, but I got mine sooo cheap it didn't matter
It looks like a 3 piece Mahogany Body, which is concerning. I've had it for 4 weeks and it still works :¬Þ

Sweet guitar overall, but don't pay too much. It won't hold value like a Les Paul, or Fender Strat will.
It is a little heavy for it's size (not bad though), and is mahogany.
You can get both bright and thick dark sounds depending on the pickups and settings

I love the white finish and abalone binding.It plays like a dream I think it plays just as great as Jacksons or ESP.Light,fast neck, great looks what's not to like?This guitar's got it all.
It's light, plays great and the feel is great. The knobs are a little closer to the strings than I'm use to, but you get use to it.
I'm use to EMG 81/85 but the 81TW/89 isn't bad. I'll end up switching them out sometime, but it's really not that bad just not as much "humph" as I usually like.

I like guitars like this set necks and a combination of good looks but I hate the pickups Im more into a simpler design with less control knobs and I dont care for the single coil sound from the push pull knobs.
it feels good, the neck has great playability and it dosent weigh very much.

this thing's pretty sturdy... it wont exactly take a beating... but its okay to drop it now and then.

QUALITY:
High end import at a mid level import price. I bought this over ESP ltd's 400 series. It felt better constructed and better overall. Plus the red finish looked really good, just as good as a PRS in my eyes.
FEATURES:
This guitar is pretty much solid, the EMG pickups sound great and the string thru construction and set neck give you great sustain. Only thing that would make this better is locking tuners.
EASE OF USE:
The ease of use was exactly why i bought it, it played so much better against the ltd 400 series guitars I was considering buying. The neck felt very natural and it fits comfortably around my body when strapped.
VALUE:
I think this product is worth every cent and more. Like I said, you're paying mid level import price for a high end import. Plus years from now, you'll still be able to look at it and be proud of what you bought.

Guitar is solid, wonderfull set neck, binding and inlays are just amazing.

I bought this guitar specifically because it was designed arround the emg 81/85 active pickups, i refuse to play on anything else. They were even considerate enough to rout in a battery box instead of some companies that leave it with a clip inside the cavity.
EASE OF USE:
plays like a dream, a buddy of mine swears it plays as smooth as his custom shop gibson
VALUE:
having owned it now, i can honestly say i would have paid more.
SOUND:
emg humbuckers can make even a cheap crappy guitar sound pretty good, but considering this guitar isnt cheap or crappy, you can imagine how it sounds. its FREAKING beautiful.
