It has a 35" scale not 34, so drop tuning feels better.The only strange thing about this bass is the lower body strap button is offset to the top. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? To me the EMG pu's sound full and bold. They are highly adjustable w/2-band eq and blend control. A 3-band w/mid would be even better. Pu's, preamp, strings, action are all personal preferences. This Bass especially for the money needs nothing changed. It plays and sounds like a quality instrument. I can't say the same for some Basses I have that cost 2-3 times as much Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The Aged White, with binding on body, neck and headstock look fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice. Body and front of headstock are glossy. The neck has great satin finish that feels great to play.

The aged white finish is INCREDIBLY smooth and is one of the classiest looking basses out there.
