Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is extremely well crated. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I have only had it a couple of weeks, but I know this beast will hold up. General Your general opinion of this product. My general opinion of this guitar, and the Schecter Brand...is this company knows how to make a top shelf guitar, for a middle shelf price. I love this guitar. Clean lines, beautiful finish, amazing tone and playability. Sweet. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This guitar is not heavy at all. But you can tell that this thing is solid. The neck is smooth and fast. As soon as I pulled it from the box, I checked all the frets and the lines of the neck....perfect! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? DARK AND SMOOTH! I purchased the Crimson Red...beautiful. The pickups(EMGs 81/85) are HOT! But if you want a mellow yet bright clean tone, just roll the volume back a little. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? This thing is mezmorizing!! Action How was the action out of the box? Action was perfect, it came all the way from New York IN TUNE!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very well made I've owned or played every brand of guitar out there. I believe schecter builds the best instruments out there today. They take their time and don't use cheap parts. Many guitar companies really don't make their products like they use to. They make their own pickups etc. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Very durable the on problem I've had. I was going crazy doing some crazy whammy dive and I popped the springs if the floyd rose. I opened the back and reatached them and continued my crazyness. Id recommend d'addario nickle strings and it will stay in tune. The grover tuners and floyd rose are a great asset to keeping your tuning also. General Your general opinion of this product. Great playing guitar.I have never seen schecter make a bad guitar Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Plays great. Like I said its all metal. The emgs sing. The volume rolls back and gets nice clean tones on a dirty amp. And the tremelo stays in tune. When I down tune I throw a pop bottle cap under the tremelo bridge to keep it level so I don't have to spend 20 minutes rep tuning the strings. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone is just what I was looking for. The emgs rock. I had a omen6 and put seymour Duncan blackouts in it and got a great tone also.for you people looking to save some money. You can get the wiring diagram on schecters site. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is a beautiful blood red. You have to see it to appreciate it. Action How was the action out of the box? Action is great I didn't have to adjust it at all. Plays and feels great. The neck isn't thin or thick its in between. But very playable and fast. Ibanez and other brands might claim to have fast necks but their frets aren't ever filed right and their necks warp. And their pickups are junk.schecter or especial is the way to go. Both are owned by the same person.
An incredible guitar!

How was the action out of the box? High E-string was broke, but not a big problem. I always keep extra strings on hand. Action was really nice with no buzzing. Smooth flowing on lead fingerwork and no unnecessary feedback or ground loops. I'm really impressed. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Quality looks good..... no different than any other Gibson I've tried. I'm sure this one will last. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I just got it, but I can't see this deteriorating at all. General Your general opinion of this product. I own 10 guitars that I've collected over the years. This one by far blows the others out of the water (keeping in mind that I own a Jackson USA RR1 and an Ibanez MBM1). I'm glad I read the other reviews... they certainly convinced me to try this one and I'm really glad I did. Going to be hard to put this one down....... Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Good weight, balanced well.. easy to reach upper notes, controls are well laid out, tuners are easy to adjust (both headstock and Floyd Rose). Totally fast action... I will swear that this will improve your speed. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Has both a bright and dark sound to it. Volume and Tone controls are really good and you really can get a good clean sound from EMG's. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Quilted top finishes always look great in my opinion and this one is no different. Looks REALLY nice. I got the red version.
Another home run for Shcecter

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar hands down is the best bang for the buck and it is not made in China! Reliability How has it stood up over time? This is the 3rd Schecter I have purchased. 2 of the 3 are flawless. The Damien Elite 7 string had neck issues. The Hellraiser 7 had a bad pup. Schecter sent out a replacement no questions asked. My new blue baby has no issues General Your general opinion of this product. You can not buy a better guitar for under $600. I got the blue one. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I like the semi chunky feel of this neck. easier to play than some of the Ibanez guitars I have owned. The neck is fast and smooth. I wish schecter would modify the neck heal to give easier access to the upper frets. Price you pay for a bolt on. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Hard to tell with the Emgs. Most guitars with actives sound simular. I am sure replacing the pups for passives this guitar should have a warm LP tone with a touch of top end due to the maple neck. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The inlays just pop out with the blue body. My 7's are crimson and the blue looks killer. No flaws found and the finish was smooth and glossy. Action How was the action out of the box? The setup was great out of the box. I will end up taking it to my tech for tweakings to my liking.
