Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Metallic blue is what I got, you cant get it on AMS anymore, but its fantastic, (but hey, youll love any color you get it in anyway) (P.S Inlays are SEXY!!!) Action How was the action out of the box? FANTASTIC(nuff said)_(I was just coming off a First Act though... sooo..... yeah... Playing one of those for 2 years really made this thing feel like a dream come true. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This product,(along with all shecters I have played, low end or expensive)has the quality of thousand dollar fenders and guitars of that sort. It is extremely dependable(have had for 6 months and not a problem thus far)(GO EMG'S) Reliability How has it stood up over time? No maintenance has been needed on the guitar itself, I hydrate the neck every 4 months or so just to keep it fresh sounding, the tuners STAY in tune, almost indefinetly. I can thrash it, case it, bring it to school, back home, and not have to tune it at all. (YAY GROVERS!) General Your general opinion of this product. I Believe this is an incredible buy, especially at 500 dollars, worth much much more. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Extremely fast neck, smoothe and unpainted and unglossed maple(love it) If your perfer bolt ons, or dont mind them, and like thin unpainted necks, this is absolutely fantastic. Action, intonation, tuner tightness, pickups, and truss rod are completely adjustable and simple to adjust as well! Fretting and inlays are beautiful and flawless. It plays like a dream! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Dark and smooth, or dark and rough, your choice it does it all, It can't go too too bright, but it can handle all the bright tones you need, (It just prefers the heavier stuff.) I swear the EMG 85 makes a ridiculous lead tone and the 81 can handle every riff you can think of.
