Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Extremely dependable, and good quality craftmanship.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
The Guitar seems to hold up pretty good overall, I play cover tunes 4 nights a week in my band, and along with my Strat, I find that 60% of playing goes to my Schecter, although I've only had it for 5 months.

Your general opinion of this product.
I have to say this guitar is Awesome, from the EMG pickups to the finish, right down to the Floydrose. Plus the AMS price was unbelievable! I am a Lefty, and to find a LH guitar that I play through my 100 watt Marshall,I see other guitar players stand there with Envy, and there only response is "Awesome, F---kin Awesome". Thank You Very Much AMS!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Fast and Furious Neck, Weight- I was surprised at how light it was, although I find the 3-way pickup selector is a little close to the strings, overall not bad.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I might be a little Bias, I love the tone, like I said, I've been seaching for this tone 25 yrs., I read the views on the H4 pickups, which were not that good, after recieving the guitar, I found that the pickups were Hot for passive pickups and very versital, they had a Dark Bite to them, and yet could go to Bright & mellow !
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Everyone loves the Crimsom Red finish on it, Excellent, and a real beauty.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Excellent, extremely low action and a pretty fast neck, this was designed for Shredding !

I like what I hear and I like what I see. This guitar will last a while.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Just got it, so who knows how long it'll last. It seems sturdy enough. I'm sure with the proper maintenance it'll last a while. The bridge stays in tune very well.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
What a great instrument. Sounded great right out of the box and continues to impress. The finish, the weight, the features, all great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck feels lacquered, so it's not as slick as it could be. The volume knob is a little far back, close to the bridge, so you have to kinda reach around the tremolo arm, which I'm not used to. Once you're actually playing, the minor gripes go away. It's not too heavy so you can play for a while without it digging into your shoulder. The heel is angled slightly to make access to the upper frets easier. All around it feels great to play.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Very smooth and warm. Great lows, nice highs.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
LOVED the finish. I didn't expect the back to be stained, but sure enough, it shows off the grain of the body quite nicely. The figured maple archtop is AWESOME with the crimson red stain. It's a little dark, but it really pops especially in good light.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Dang near perfect. A little high for MY personal taste, but still very playable.

Received this yesterday for my birthday. I'll give this guitar a 9. I would have given it a 10 but because of the EMG passive pickups I only gave this one a 9.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Plays better than my LTD EC-100 at least my opinio. Controls way better than ESP LTD's. One volume and tone.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Pickup is weak. But I can't complain. I will be replacing these two pickups with EMG 60/81.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is great. Very similar to ESP LT EC-1000.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action right from the box is acceptable. I would like to see a little lower action out of the box but I can't complain

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This product is made as dependable if not more than some Guitars I have played/had in the 1200-1500 dollar range.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Just got it today but seems like a very sturdy solid Axe.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This Axe sounds like it's straight outta Hades. It's the best Axe I've ever played. I bought a LTD EC-1000 and paid $841.00 for it and I paid $350.00 for this Axe and it's just as good as the LTD.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This thing is awesome. Very Chunky sounds, fretboard was fast and action is great for schredding. I love the FR Tremolo system.
Very easy to use the whammy bar while jamming. Almost feels natural.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Hot pickups, Very dark but also bright on the Rhythm side. Has a beautiful sound on Clean as well and a radical distortion.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Excellent. Not a blemish anywhere.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Very Low and that's just how I like it.

Made very well them boys at Schecter know what they are doing when it comes to guitars.they didn't skimp on anything has all the great stuff other guitars have that sell for much more.you wont be disappointed very high quality.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I just got it so i really cant say.but to me i think it will stand the test of time.every thing feels very solid and well built.it doesn't feel like a toy like other guitars i have played.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
this product is great not a thing i can find wrong with it.great for rock and metal but cleans up nicely i wouldn't trade it for the world it is beautifully sinister.buy this baby but make sure you get it at AMS they go the extra mile to make you happy.thank you Tina for making my dreams come true. this may be a bit long but great things cant be explained in one sentence.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
has a little weight to it but very comfortable.the neck is fast and smooth about as thick as a strat maybe a little thinner.fret board is narrow at the top and a little wider at the bottom to a comparable strat due to the Floyd Rose.the extra spacing leaves some room for your fingers to work the high frets.the licensed Floyd Rose is great you can really work that thing and stay in tune.the controls are very easy to access the knobs are very smooth and solid.the switch has no crackle while switching pickups nice and solid for if you bump it it don't switch on you.and it really has Grover tuners says it right on them.i cant find a thing to complain about and i am very picky.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
the bridge pickup is very chunky and full sounding with great mid range and highs that are just right.i actually love playing on the bridge sounds so awesome.but if you want it to scream kick on the bridge great sound.i love playing rock and metal from the 70s to the present.and if you know how to work the guitar and have a decent amp and know how to work it your set to go.this guitar will more than likely get the sound you need.the sound is comparable to a real Gibson SG or Lespaul with a set of EMGs
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
the see through vampire red looks awesome with the quilted maple top.the color is very deep and rich in low lighting but comes to life when the light is hiting it almost 3D.very shiny smooth high gloss finish.the sides and back appear darker because of the mahogany but are also the see through red very nice seeing the wood grain on this beauty.very nice sure to please you and every one that sees it.i know i cant stop looking at it B E A UTIFUL.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was perfect the only thing i had to do was lower the pickups a little for the higher frets would ring true.that is a very easy thing to do other than that i don't need to spend money having the local shop set it up.

You are getting way more than your moneys worth here, especially with the closeout price. Mine was going to be a backup for my Jackson. I think the Jackson is now the backup.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
As I just got mine, I can't say much other than that I can tell it will last as the construction is excellent.

There is NO way that you will beat this guitar! I received one for my b'day. I couldn't be happier. The finish, playability, and quality of this guy are as good as any costing 5x as much.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Due to the mahaogany body, it is heavy. However, it feels right. The neck is plenty fast and the controls are easy to get to.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Perfect for what I play (metal).
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish is amazing. Though they don't carry the price tag of the other Schecters, they didn't skimp here. I am a huge fan of the one inlay in the neck. It is very clean, unlike so many that are too busy and cluttered.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was fine from the factory. Final adjustments will be made after the new strings are on and it is D-tuned.
