First 7 string

Product Rating Product Review Well this is my first 7 string so I don't have much to compare it besides 6 strings. Shape and weight feel amazing, extra jumbo frets are perfect for that low B string. The coil spit is a nice feature and makes great tones. I haven't played passive pick ups in a while so they too a minute to get use to. All in all I think it's a great guitar, stays in tune REALLY well and I'm having a blast learning to play it. American musical supply was amazing as usual. I used the payment plan option witch is such a nice option to have. I've been able to get higher quality gear I normally wouldn't be able to, which makes playing that much more fun

Product Review The price for this guitar is low considering the craftsmanship. It plays great and sound good also. I did need to lower the strings slightly but that took all of 5 minutes and one screw driver. It looks so much better than it does in the pictures. So far it seems to stay in tune very well also. I plan on getting a second one in black soon.

Great buy for the money

Product Review This is a solid purchase for the cost. The pickups handle the low end well, even dropped to G, and have no trouble catching the highs for solid lead. The neck is thin enough to be comfortable but solid enough for percussive playing. And the black cherry burst finish is dope. It's a great 7 string for under a thousand dollars.

Looks and feels amazing, pickups could be better

Product Review I love the way this guitar looks and feels! Very easy to play! It looks like a higher dollar value guitar. The only complaint I have is the pickups. Clean, they sound great. Distorted, though... Not so much. They get very muddy and jumbled in the lower strings, and the higher strings don't sound out above the rest, so everything just kinda sounds like white noise. I thought it was everything else in my setup, but was surprised when I plugged in another guitar from a different brand and I could instantly hear what I was playing clearer! For the price, it's a decent guitar, but if you want to use it seriously, expect to replace the pickups.

Product Review I have had many 7 strings and this one came ready to play! Was almost in tune to haha. Really good guitar for just starting on a 7 string or if you just love 7 strings like me. And oh did I mention it looks amazing as well.

Product Review Great solid sound as expected as it is a schecter. Red is a bit darker than I expected but it looks great! Plays great after a little fine tuning.

Product Review First off let me say that this is only 450 bucks. That being said, you get what you pay for. The body, neck, and tuners were amazing. I found the pickups to be flat. First thing I did was order a set of EMGs and swapped them out. This thing screams now and with a 57/66 7h set installed.

Product Review The process of applying for, ordering, and shipping this guitar was hands down one of the best experiences I've had ordering online. When it arrived I did have to do some work to the Frets (Which is a fault on Schecter's Part, not American Musical's), but once I got the frets tidied up and put a new set of strings on it, this guitar as is provides a tone that could convince you that it cost way more than $450. I am heavily impressed.

Product Review Never had a Schecter or seven string, but I really wish I had bought one a long time ago. This guitar feels great. The neck is awesome, like others I will replace the pickups at some point. Other than that I am extremely happy with my purchase. As always AMS never disappoints.

Product Review Great guitar. At this price I expected it wouldn't be junk, but I knew it isn't a pro guitar.Well its close to being in the $1000 quality club.Frets are well made, with no problems.Pick ups are great.Tuners work very well. The inlays are good looking. Most importantly the tone is real sweet and the intonation is perfect, with plenty of adjustment room.My only problem is I would rather have a mahoghany neck but that will be solved in a year when I get Schecters $1000 guitar.
