Product Review I bought this guitar out of an obsession with MGK’s new album—he is pictured with a custom Shecter PT—and it is a great guitar. My only complaint is that the neck is a little rough, but not so rough that it affects playability. I love the glossy look and the pickup configuration. This has become my favorite guitar, despite the rough neck.

Product Review First, let me give thanks to AMS!! If it wasn’t for the 12 month pay as you play, I wouldn’t be writing this review ?? Thanks. The PT arrived very quickly ?? It was well packaged and in one piece. Right out of the box, only 2 strings were a little out of tune which was a good sign. Setup was very good played great right out of the box. The guitar itself was packaged very good the paint looked great. The pup’s are very hot,I’m not use to that but sound great the coil-split is reallly good. It actually splits the humbucker into separate coils for the true single coils sound!! I’ve only had it for 2 days and I can say its a great guitar for the money! I’ve had a C1classic since 2002 and it’s never let me down. I have no doubt that this PT will be around just as long.

Product Review The PT Schecter is a beautiful guitar; the price is cheap for the quality; you think it would cost more, the neck is very comfortable to play and the pick-ups sound awesome, they are extra hot, perfect for Metal and Heavy Rock and with the push pull volume knob you can split the pick-ups into single coil and it sounds like a true Fender guitar. American Music Supply is a absolute gem of a store; very helpful with their multiple payment plans and excellent Equipment.

Product Review Very nice guitar, fit and finish is excellent, more suited to rock than country (not a twanger), pups are hot, coil tapped as well. Black is beautiful, but shows everything, binding front and back is nice. Neck is very nice, vintage tint looks great, and it feels just as good, no tangs, well dressed, tusq nut, great tuners, saddles are way better than any mex fender....toggle switch placement would be my only gripe, but really not worth mentioning. I would buy another one, great guitar in my opinion, I own American Fenders and Gibson models and this guitar doesn't take a backseat to any of them. Tremendous value !

Product Review First of all. I have been and will continue to be a huge Schecter fan. Every "great playing/sounding" guitar always seems to have the schecter logo on the headstock. Action is amazing. Pickups are hot as Hell. Everything about this piece of wood is to be treasured. And another big thanks to American Musical Supply for finance opportunity to be able to have these wonderful instruments.

Product Review I was excited when it came. Looked nice, felt nice, Thick neck and very playable, Reason I returned it was it had faulty tone pots the hissed and popped when turned and used otherwise I would have kept it. Sure its only a 10 dollar part at best and if you can fix and replace it yourself that's awesome. But if you need to send it out that's another 100 to 150 to have it repaired at your local music store or luthier. The Guitar is nice and I wished it worked right out of the box and if I had the tools to fix it myself I would have kept it. This would have been my third schecter. Think I just got a Lemon it happens. AMS Responds: Hello Jeff, Sorry to hear about the guitar. Unfortunately potentiometers can collect fine dust from packing material etc. which can cause them to become noisy and or scratchy. This can usually be resolved with a shot of Tuner Cleaner sprayed into the Pot. This is a quick and inexpensive fix to this issue. It can typically be found at any appliance store for about $3 - $4. Always a good idea to have on hand for guitars-pedals - mixer faders etc. Hope this tip helps in the future. Happy Jammin !

The overall appearance and build quality of the guitar was excellent for the price. Very well made. Just got it, but my buddy gigs with his and it's held up great. No issues. Your general opinion of this product. This is a very versatile guitar. If you want a certain tone or style of sound this guitar will pull it off. Fat, thick humbucker or single coil twang it's all there. This guitar plays very easily. The jumbo frets make for effortless fretting. It's really balanced and had a nice weight of 8.2 lbs. Not too heavy and doesn't feel like a toy. After fixing the pickup selector issue this thing is a monster. The coil tapping allows you to pull any sound you want out of it. I like heavier sounds and blues. Bridge position humbucker with some gain and it's a wall of sound. Neck position with a little dirt and it's a creamy blues tone. Flawless! Perfect out of the box. Couldn't have set it up better if I'd done it myself.

well made overall so far so good Your general opinion of this product. good guitar for the price. prefer vintage size frets though. fairly light in weight. nice vintage radius neck. frets-ends on edge of fretboard need to be trimmed. pick up switch in the way. pick ups are hot. sounds good live but recording or playing thru headphones, muddy and thick. perfect good

Really Nice Tele

Very well made for the money. Very good. Your general opinion of this product. Worth every dollar. As good or better then any Fenders of the same or slightly more cost. And I have 6 Fender Tele's from that cost $1200 to 1800 (and I bought most of them thru AM! Great Company! Bin buying from this site for years) Feels comfortable. Fast, Slim smooth neck. Controls are in a perfect position (for me). Bright snappy, dark and smooth it has it all with the push pull tone. Fine to me. Lowest action out of the box you can get from any tele.
