I have a Hammond Xk5 with lower manual. I drug around a Hammond A-102 on the road for a long time. With it, I also had my Leslie 122 (same one as now). After trying several microphones, on the Leslie, I decided to use the e906 on the horn and a Shure SM57 on the bottom rotor. Great combination.

This is an excellent mic for guitar amps. It sounds pretty transparent in the mix and in recordings. For those that own a Kemper Profiler, it makes an awesome mic for profiling.

I’m pairing this with a shure sm57 to mic a jvm410hjs through a 1960bv cabinet loaded with 2 v30’s & 2 65w creambacks into a soundcraft mtk22.
These mics compliment each other very well.

Excellent mic for my amp. I tour constantly and in some performing art centers they don’t carry great mics. I decided to get my own and it’s been great. I bought the 906 Sennheiser vrs the 609 because of a few upgrades. Arrived on time and service was excellent.

Has a very smooth high end and a really deep low end. I've noticed it works very well with clean guitar. However I can't give a full 5 stars since a crisp distorted guitar sound is hard to get out of this mic

I was surprised at the ability of this dynamic microphone to smoothly pick up so many elements of an 18-piece big band orchestra I'll be happy to provide you with a link to a wav or mp3 recording where you can hear the same-time recordings of a big band orchestra playing ''Route 66'' -- with one recording having been made with this e906 microphone and two other recordings made at the same time one with a large diaphragm condenser microphone and the other with a Shure SM57 -- so you can then draw your own conclusion from the same-time recording with this and other microphones with which you might be familiar.

Product Review
As a guitarist, I am really picky about my tone. Spent years and a lot of money to develop what I wanted. Your tone is your signature which distinctively separates you from others. It starts with finger tone, cords, type of amp, effects right down to the mic that captures it. I've been using the standard shure sm57 mic which is a good mic but I've always had to tweak the eq on the FOH board to capture my tone. I heard this mic on my friend's rig and was really impressed took the chance and bought and have had no regrets. This is a great mic for a guitarist. I leave it in the normal position and flat on the FOH system. My colleagues and I have really noticed an improvement on my tone in the PA system It captures my tone with clarity, punch, and precision. It is now a part of my rig.. I would recommend this mic..

Owning a studio and being a player in a live band and Sunday worship I can tell you that these mics are the best for guitar amps, so smooth, dark if you want, bright if thats your thing. A lollypop mic that you can adjust for your own tone.

Very well made. I have had this for several years now and it has seen pretty heavy use and I don't see a scratch or dent on it.
Best feature = sound. Sounds similar to a 57, but better (IMHO). I find myself using it for gigs as well as in my home studio. I also have a 57 and several other mics, but this is currently my go to mic for guitar cabs and sometimes toms.
It's a mic, doesn't exactly take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
Awesome, sounds great!

Senneiser has never failed me... knock on wood. very easy to get in touch with support staff.
This mic has a built in eq switch. this is great because i encounter a multitude of different amps and guitar tones. this switch allows you to tailor you sound to optimize the guitars natural tone.
pretty easy stick it on a cab turn it slightly off axis and its good. used it live with Rusted Root recently, used it with a hardcore band Alesana, and a with a Led Zeplin tribute all with amazing results.
the sound is great. ive used this in combo with a Hughes and Kettner Red Box and have had some really great results. big fat clear guitar. very little mud to clean up.
