Product Rating Product Review All I can say is "Wow"! The boss man and his team have done an amazing job hand-crafting these vintage-style (yet modern) pickups - the effort and expertise put into the design and manufacturing of these works-of-art are readily apparent from the moment you take this marvel out of its box to the first chord you strike! I am no professional, just some old retired guy who has gotten back into playing (it's pretty much all I do every day), so I don't know all of the buzz-words and how to properly articulate a review but what I do know is that this pickup is the real deal and at it's current price-point, is the steal of the year! This pickup covers all scenarios from clean to rock to heavy distortion like no other pickup I've encountered! I searched high and low (and installed more bridge pickups that I care to admit) for just the right humbucker for my ESP LTD-M Black Metal guitar...I am over the moon on how well this pickup performs - the clarity and sheer punch of any kind of notes that you can crank out is phenomenal! I tried other SD pickups (Black Winter, Pegasus, Pearly Gates) as well as a PRS double-humbucker (out of of a SE Custom 24) and even a humbucker out of a Fender Telecaster Deluxe but none of them could get me the overall sound I was looking for. I simply love this pickup! In fact, I am considering purchasing several more and installing them on my other guitars!

top quality, and I hate chrome and gold so I took chance and removed cover and they all come zebra underneath but if thats what u want, if you cant desolder cover were it meets bottom plate have it done, breaking solder joint apart w/ screwdriver you can easily hit winding inside and then your screwed. 1 set is 3 years old wonder why you have'nt seen them, well other than over last few months online, only place were boutique shops cause of price 117.00 a piece , but worth every penny. Your general opinion of this product. best humbuckers s. duncan has put out yet, also remove the chrome cover or have removed they are zebra underneath and I've had em all, finally best tone ever came from putting antiquitys in my gibson with the sprague orange drop capacitors I ordered from ebay store, course it already had cts pots, either orange drops or bumblebee caps, help alot even to factory burstbuckers, but orange drops is no risk there are a few places on ebay that bumblebees are not color coded right and I've heard them flatten tone, orange drop caps are what slash uses but I would use Antiquity's atleast in bridge positrion and leave neck alone if good, but put neck and bridge on my PRS SE Santana also took it to GC and all n agreement sounded 10 times better than american 4,000.00 Santana, good for anywhere humbuckers are cause they have widest tone range I've ever heard go from hey jude to enter sandman just by adjusting gain and volume. widest range you will find, these are p/ups I know all would love, and you know there are no p/ups out there like that, cause of difference in playing style and genre but w/ turn of 2 knobs on amp I go from GNR, to blues, to jazz, widest range I've ever seen and I did pay more for 1 set of EVH's and Dimarzio's also and they do 1 maybe 2 sounds great otherwise, plus once you pick an axe like I carried 4 everywhere 3 LP's, 1 w/ floyd rose, and my PRS santana se but w/ all same p/ups now I take LP w/Floyd Rose and my PRS so 2 travel now not 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from bright to smooth, and from ultra hot to muddy, brown sound do it all best investment around cut down on alot of waisted gear or uneeded now?!!!!!! chrome finish has antique look to it on purpose, so its not goo or anything, looks cool vintage look for chrome, never seen gold sure its distressed also. cant go wrong here, so glad I did it on that 1st Gibson LP cause guys w/ cheaper like epi's I rewire w/ new switchcraft toggle and input jack, then put cts 500k pots on and these pickups, new tuners if ness. and orange drop caps are 10.00 on ebay, and buy Antiquity's and then you could'nt see difference much anyway but now you cant hear difference and save so much money even when they are buying new axe , I tell em get that Epi you daid u liked color and inlays and we order p/ups and sounds like 3800.00 for under 600.00 for everything!!!!!!!!!! come wrapped in paper signed by S. Dunncan himself then each is put in cloth antiquity bag, and then in box with extra sticker in each box, I put stickers on back pot cover plastic on my guitars that have them so at gigs players would see what I was talking bought, esp. the venues were my axes go to a marshall haze 40 tube combo, people were amazed, yes use 8 pedals on my boards but you just had to hear it no matter wat u step on drive, distortion, wah, flanger, its all so clean and clear, I can pick string 1/16" above either p/u and clear as a chime.
