General Your general opinion of this product. I have this pickup in nearly all my guitars and it's great for rock, metal, blues and almost anything else. It's a little bright, but put in a guitar with a mahogany or basswood body and it really balances out. The tone is the same you'll hear in countless recordings. It cuts really well for solos and has tight bass response for rhythm. Short of calling up Seymour Duncan and having a custom built pickup you won't find anything better. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Duncan IS quality. Never had an issue and they always look great. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Very responsive and has that upper midrange response to cut through the mix. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? somewhat bright but balances out a warm tonewood like mahogany. Excellent treble for soloing. Action How was the action out of the box? Easy to install. no issues Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks perfect and packaged well to protect it for shipping. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I have about 7 or 8 of these in different guitars and never had an issue. I don't expect this one to be anything different.
Sounds good on your Floyd Rose

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seymour Duncan has a great reputation, so quality isn't in doubt here. :-) Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've had it in my guitar for over a year and it's help up. General Your general opinion of this product. It has a good sound in alder. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Some players say the bass feels loose to them, but I disagree. There are settings on your amp that might lead one to believe this claim, but I believe the bass just isn't full-on tight. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I't's not overly bright or too warm, but it's a bit in-between. It's hot, but I still feel like it could use more output. That's just the metalhead in me though. It also has some distortion, but not too much. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Glossy black. Action How was the action out of the box? Perfect.
