I recently added the Shure Beta 52A mic to my music gear as my kick drum mic. At most of my previous shows the sound companies I've worked with have used this mic. The sound quality and durability has always been great and I've always wanted to add one to my personal mic set up. I'm glad I did and I'm not disappointed. You can truly feel the thump of the drum. This is a great sounding mic! You can't go wrong with Shure quality!

The Beta 52A is a solid mic for the kick-drum - and has been for many years now! What's especially great is the built-in EQ to balance the kick sound! If it says Shure, you can be "Shure" you're investing in a top-notch product!!

The Shure Beta52A is built like a tank and captures the sound my band wants from the kick drum. EQ'd well with a little low shelf, the right cuts, and just enough high mids give us the right amount of lows and draws out the punch and presence we're looking for from our kick. Love Shure, love this mic.

I have purchased this mic many times in my life to complete my PA. You dont need any other kick drum mic, the B52 is perfect every time no matter where you place it, on a stand in front of the cut out or my favorite, right inside the kick drum, laying on the kick pillow so that the mic picks up the klick from the batter.

The shure beta 52 has been around for many years. It’s reputation remains intact with the Beta 52a. It produces solid ,punchy mid lows that you can feel in your chest. I have been a percussionist for 48 years and have heard many bass and bass drum mics. This one tops them all!

Shure makes great products. I use this thing on bass guitar cabs, acoustic guitars, even a Hammond B3! Definitely more useful than the "kick drum mic" moniker that has been attached to this mic. Worth every penny!

You really can't get a better kick drum mic. This thing is perfect for any kind of music, but especially for hard/heavy rock since it has so much punch with tons of bottom end.
