This is a great little wireless unit. Wish it was rackmountable, but that's my only real complaint. Battery lasts a long time. I bought another from Shure's website, along with a 90 degree cable.
Construction feels solid. I think this is going to be able to provide me with reliable wireless for years.

I haven't used a wireless system for over 20 years, so when I decided to get back into it, I wanted to make sure I got the good one. Well, Shure makes a fantastic system. I absolutely love the onboard charging system, soooo convenient. No more buying batteries constantly. And the metal body packs are fantastic. Also, no more flimsy antennas either, man they designed these things well. Highly recommend.

I would prefer this to the glxd16, as I am sure it will allow better roaming.both this and the pedal glxd16, the transmitter to receiver have to be at at least 6 feet apart.....so what happens when you step up to your pedal board to tap on some switches. The glxd4r at $549.99, does not indicate a minimum receiver to transmitter distance, and may be the best pick for placing on an independent board, next to your pedal board.....or they just left out minimum distance info from info sheet. Maybe some actual owners can clear up the minimum distance useable with glxd4 receivers. I am contacting Shure about the glxd4r, as it may be the one for me, if minimum distance is not an issue.

In short, it does exactly what it says, and it does it very well. I play an active/passive bass, so the dB adjustment function is great for getting a proper input level. Set up is almost as easy as plugging in a cable. You just turn on your transmitter and receiver, it automatically links in about a second, and you’re off and running. The instructions state there is a latency of 4ms up to 7.3ms depending on the wireless channel, but I couldn’t hear ANY latency! I walked several yards off stage and the response and punch were right on the beat. There is a subtle tonal difference, like it doesn’t have quite as much tonal range, but it is so slight that it’s almost imperceptible. I highly recommend this. Unless you get a lemon (which AMS will replace), you will be very happy with this.

This system is easy to use, no latency issues and I have yet to have the system drop out on me. My tone from my Les Pauls and Marshall’s are never compromised and the battery life on the system is superior!! Shure is not cheap, but it’s top quality and outstanding gear.

A little more money than some but worth every penny!
Well thought out design, easy to use and most importantly,
Sounds just as good as wired!
I had zero drop outs! I fired it up at home with the receiver and my bass amp inside and walked outside and down the driveway and onto the road, no dropouts, so great range!

I have used several wireless systems over the years, but this might be the best one yet. Everything seems very well made and reliable. I have no major complaints, but I do wish there was a way to add rack ears to this receiver so I could put it in my rack. Otherwise, it's a great system.

Can't go wrong with Shure, the bonus of the Gator bag is a plus! Shipping was fast and no damage.
Very well made. As I said you can't go wrong with Shure. This model is well priced and top quality. You don't need to spend more on a wireless unless you want a rack system. The Shure pedal looks interesting but I like the unit in the back, on my head. Just apply some velcro to keep it in place.
Very easy, all set up, plug n' play! Very east controls and instructions.
Plug n' play, ease of controls.
Tone is great, can't tell the difference between quality cable and this! No droupouts or interference.
