Product Review Got this product a couple weeks back and have a couple gigs and practices with it and I must say it's great. I have used a beta 52 for years and decided to upgrade. This mic cuts down on bleed through while delivering I feel like a closer match to your natural voice. Super clear and natural in best words is how I can put it. It is built like a tank like any shure product and I absolutely am happy with this purchase even at the price point. If you are serious about gigging and home recording it's a great tool to put in your collection.

Product Review I purchased this mic for our singer who isn't trained. Also I am not professional sound guy but I have had my share in running sound for Tejano and rock and metal bands. This mic is really clean and is easy to to mix. Made our singer sound good even when he pulls away on mic he still.sounded great. Got great compliments on his sound this past weekend I used it for a show. Even our singer said he sounded professional. Thanks Ams for great all around service and most off all payment plans. THANKS AGAIN YOU GUYS ROCK

Product Review I have owned many Sures over the years and have never been disappointed in quality or dependability. I was raised believing that a good old SM58 was the standard for a road vocal mic. Excuse me but move over, this microphone sets a whole new standard. Not a new model for Sure but new to me and frankly this microphone just blows my mind. 58's may be the standard for a dual purpose studio/road mic but as long as I have this I will never use a 58 again.

Product Review I purchased this microphone because a friend of mine suggested it to me. He sold me on the fact that I could use it as a home recording mic as well as a live performance mic. I currently use a Shure SM58 as my live performance mic, which has always been great for me, but I am anxious to use the Shure KSM8 for the first time this Friday live. I have used it already as my home recording microphone and I can honestly say that it blows away the Beringer Cardioid mic that I've been using. I particular like that it is powerful yet dynamic and captures the true tones of my voice. I have started using the mic through my Bose PA system and taking the master out in to the Focusrite to record. I feel it records me exactly how I sound when I perform live. I like everything so far - We'll see how it performs in a live setting this Friday but the one thing I do need is a wind screen / pop filter for it (Maybe I'm just getting too close to the mic with certain pronunciations. I have had the mic for only a couple of weeks but have been using it 100% of the time. It has exceeded my expectations so far in home recording settings and I expect excellent performance this Friday when I use it live. I hope this review helps you decide to purchase one too.

Product Review Wow! I gotta say that initially I was using this in the studio and was a little bummed out about the mic. BUT then I brought it out to a live show and heard myself through this mic on a PA and it just kicked serious a**. Couldn’t be more impressed. It is a pricey mic, so pick it up on one of the payment plans here at AMS and get ready to have your mind blown! You’re gonna love the way you sound.

Product Review I am a part time, 47 year old male singer. I have been singing since I was 17 years old professionally to now casually. One of my problems has always been dealing with poor sound due to back front of the house sound in small venues that can't afford proper gear, or a sound tech. If you are a cover singer you understand where I am coming from, you need a microphone that can respond just as well if you are singing an Elvis tune, or a Guns & Roses tune, and this one does that without the need of any adjustments from the front of the house tech! I don't know what type of voodoo Shure has done to accomplish this but I have never sounded better singing through mediocre sound systems! This thing just works, and believe me..I have tried them all!

Product Review I bought this mic mainly for use in my home studio. I’ve really been favoring dynamic mic’s on my voice rather than inexpensive condenser mic’s in my less than ideal recording space. You will want a good preamp to drive a dynamic for vocal recording, much like you would with an SM7. The KSM8 has a very warm and smooth quality on vocals. The reduced proximity effect helps the vocal to sit well in a mix. Beautifully made, Shure microphones never disappoint. I’ve used Shure’s in a price range from the SM48 to the KSM44 and they’re always built like tanks and solid performers. And a big thumbs up to American Musical for speedy shipping and having the most flexible payment options. 5 bills for a dynamic mic is $$$ but if you can spread it out over a few payments it certainly makes it easier! Regardless, a great mic and worth every penny!

Product Review This mic has the beauty, durability, and quality of classic Shure. There’s virtually no feedback, pops, or unwanted background noise. If you want a mic with a classy look & feel and unmatched response, look no further. I’ve used Audio Tehnica’s Artist Elites, Neumann’s KMS105, Shure’s Betas, and even the KSM9 itself. Nothing compares to the KSM8! Period! Why are you still reading this?? Buy it now!!!

Product Review I new that this mic would be a great performer based on over 40 years of using Shure mic's. The quality and the sound is beyond great and using it for recording I was super impressed. I'm not very tech oriented, but I know what sounds great. Thanks for AMS making it possible for me to purchase this mic by using affordable monthly payments.

Product Review Way to go Shure I love this Mic I compared it with my beta A Huge difference It's more reactive with my digital mixer, FX, and the background (noise) symbols was cut in half ! so Mic placement is a lot more forgiving Exactly what I bought it for I want 5 more for Shure

Product Review I am still working with this mic to justify if it was worth what I paid for. There's been some feedback issues but were easily corrected and stabled. So far the sound techs that I've worked with have said it does have a smooth sound or presence. I've compared it at home on my p.a. with another mic I purchased in 2014 (Telefunken). The quality in both are very similar however the Telefunken is warmer. The Dualdyne is unique in that when I've sang on the side or back of it I get some small presence of sound. The technical aspects of both can mind boggling. I will be comparing both this weekend with a larger room and sound system to get a feel of the actual comparison. I only gave the Dualdyne 3 stars because I feel it's overpriced about $100. If the price for the mic was $75-$100 less I would of given it 4-4.5 I'm not completely impressed. I may have another opinion further down the road.

Product Review I've been a pro drummer for almost 30 years. I am absolutely amazed and totaly impressed that the new Shure KSM8 has all the best sonic control properties I require from a Beta 57(Ie:bleed thru rejection, feed back control etc.,as well as having all the reproduction qualities demand from the Beta 87c.I do not need to EQ at all. Before owning this mic I always fought with the low mids to middle mids that I felt dominated the reproduction of my voice.Basically,I couldn't stand my own voice without working the board. The KSM8 reproduces my voice evenly and picks up the subtle changes from diapghram to chest.I have never owned a mic that allowed me to have incredible clarity and keep the huge dynamic range I have now.I absolutely recommend this mic to anyone that takes their career seriously. Its worth every penny and then some.
