Great Product from SKB!
Quality:
So far so good. Only had it for a week but gigged out with it twice already and its so simple to setup. Its heavy but when you think about what's in it, it makes sense.
Sound:
I've read alot of reviews where people say the buffered pre amp has alot of noise. I ran my complete signal chain through it and then run my board through either a p.a system or my amp and have had no extra noise or really noticeable tone loss.
Reliability:
Too soon to tell....
Overall:
Overall It does what I need it to do. I have 11 pedals on this board right now and room for maybe 1 or 2 more! All the latches and handle feel secure and sturdy. I really like the cable routing system and the board powered all my pedals with the exception of my TC Electronic Nova Modulator.
Playability and Feel:
?????
Tone:
My ears heard no tone loss at all. I hope it stays that way and I have no issues with the pre amp.
Finish:
It's plastic. Not really much to say here.
Action:
It came out of the box very easily.....

A Tone Monster's Best Friend
Sound:
Most pedal boards rob your tone, even if it's just a little, not this one, I am a tone junkie and was really nervous about losing some f my tone, but not here...This board really has given my sound the versatility of using effects and you can still tell that I spent a thousand bucks on my amp.
Reliability:
Just got it, but I dont think it will be an issue
Overall:
First off, this thing could probably be run over by a tank and survive...exetremely well built, but it's SKB and you probably already guessed that, however the slots cut in the bottom of the board are an ingenious idea, makes for great cord storage.
Playability and Feel:
Heavy...but it's protecting over $1200 worth of effects pedals, so I dont care
Tone:
I havent tried hitting it with drum sticks yet but I'll let you know
Finish:
Nice finish...black plastic

As I stated before I just got PS-55 but it looks well made and the fact that the board itself is not made of wood or steel doesn't mean it won't last long. The bottom line is that if anything does go wrong you have a very good warranty backed by a company that is known to have outstanding customer service.
Sound:
If you run your pedals through the patch bay like SKB recommends, you will not lose a significant amount of tone....but you will lose some. For me even the slightest tone lost is too much so I bypass the patchbay with the pedals I run through the front end such as my overdrive and wah pedal. Using the patch bay for your time modulated pedals such as a delay is a good idea. I've heard complaints about buzzing when using the patch bay but mine is very quiet. More often than not those complaints are from people playing with single coil pick ups. Overall the patch bay is fine in regards to noise and if you're not concerned with compromising 5-10% of your tone then you'll be fine with it. Many players couldn't tell the difference anyway.
Reliability:
I've only had it for a few weeks but so far so good. The case coming from SKB will undoubtedly hold up. As far as everything else goes we'll just have to wait and see. If nothing, at least SKB stands by their product. Their warranty is 5 years on the electronics and lifetime on the case. That's as strong as the day is long.
Overall:
Overall I am very satisfied with this pedalboard. It solved a lot of problems I used to have with my older pedalboard and cuts down the time I spend setting up my rig in half. I never realized how much time I spent messing with daisy chains and power adapers and strip cords....ugh! SKB has done an extraordinary job with this board and it's worth every bit of the 300 bucks I spent on it.
Playability and Feel:
There is one thing that owners of this board seem to dislike and that is how the board itself flexes when you press on your pedals. It's true the board does flex when you step on your pedals but it's not a big deal and believe me if it was I would have sent it back. Just because they're called stomp boxes doesn't mean you should stomp on them. If you step on your pedals in a reasonable way you will barely notice the board flexing at all.
Tone:
As I stated above the tone on your guitar will be affected, but it will be barely noticeable. If that bothers you can do what I do and bypass the patch bay. Just run your pedals from the amp to your effects and straight to your guitar.
Finish:
I know there isn't any finish on it but appearance wise this pedalboard looks really cool. I always see other guitar players looking at it amazed as to all the features and possibilities.

Very convenient - with only a few issues
Quality:
It's a middle-of-the-road product and could have been made more durable. I'm concerned that the handle or butterfly fasteners on the case lid will end up breaking before I have an opportunity to purchase a higher-grade pedal board.
The cable "tunnels" underneath are a nice feature, but they're awfully small and narrow. I attempted to fit several 1/4" angle jacks through the narrow slots and had to wedge them in with considerable force. That feature was poorly designed in my opinion.
Sound:
There is a bit of noise added from both the gain control and the power supply, but it's not very noticeable if you use a noise suppressor or gate.
Reliability:
I have gigged with it twice and it's a cinch to set up after I attached the velcro fasteners to the underside of my pedals.
Pulling the pedals up causes the pedal board base "carpet" to get frayed and furry looking, but I trimmed the fluffed up fuzz with scissors and it looks fine now.
Overall:
I chose the SKB PS55 over other powered pedal boards on the market simply because it had everything I needed. It features a very convenient cable tester, gain control, effects loop inputs/outputs, and various options for supplying power to your pedals. The fact that it has small channels to hide patch cables and power connectors made it my first choice. Additionally, the dimensions were a perfect fit for my pedals.
Playability and Feel:
Easy to use...
From right to left, here's my signal path:

Boss NS-2 (Noise Suppressor) ->

Boss DD-3 (Digital Delay) ->
Boss BF-3 (Flanger)->

"To Amplifier Input"
Tone:
Gain control doesn't colorize my tone, but adds a bit of noise to the signal.
Finish:
The unit is aesthetically pleasing, but has a rather large profile. It's a bit bulky. The large "SKB" lettering which faces the audience is gawdy, and I might end up ripping it off.
Action:
Works as expected.

This board is made well, Has been dependable so far.
Reliability:
Its like a tank so far, Not sure how long the clips that hold the cover on are gonna last. Its unconditionally guaranteed forever by, SKB
Overall:
This board will do anything you want and then some more. Its BIG. If you are limited to small spaces, Consider another board. Sometimes I get a little cramped for space in smaller stage areas.
Playability and Feel:
I think if you fully load it up, It will be kinda heavy. The handle is very beefy and comfortable on your hand.
Tone:
The preamp channel is real nice, I use it for my Strat/ Single coils and it beefs it up nicely.
Finish:
A molded case that is black.
Action:
Takes a little time and patience to configure the way you want it.
