Quality is about what I would consider average except ... a big down-side was an oily, tacky, grease=like film coating both inside and outside of the shell. Had to disassemble the drum and clean this off prior to using. Sound How is the tone? Sounds just like I'd expect a good steel snare drum to sound. Value Was this item an overall good value? I got this as the "Deal of the Day" so I consider it a very good deal for what I gave.
