I saw a mixed bag of reviews on this item before purchasing but decided to roll the dice. I’ve had it a couple weeks, tested it out and practiced with it a handful of times now and I’ve used it at a live event twice with no issues.

The mixer itself has all the things one would want for live sound mixing. The one small fault I find is in the remote interface. This uses a website generated by the mixer, viewed in a browser as opposed to a stand alone app. That is what I am used to, so it seems a bit lacking. I am still working with it, re-adjusting the zoom features of the browser while changing the screen resolutions so all the channels can be viewed at the same time while being large enough to see. Otherwise, it has worked well in the 3 gigs I have used it for.

I bought this mixer for a backup to Ui24r. Turns out I fixed my Ui24r with a simple master reset so this mixer got setup for the show and tested at the show. Worked flawlessly.
It’s missing the Wizard Gear that the Ui24r has. Like - no delays on the main & aux outputs. No Patch-bay. No Virtual channels. No Studer Preamps.
But if your not interested in those things this mixer will still bring the standard mixing horse power you would expect from Soundcraft.
Mine is now a backup for the stage show. While it sits waiting for a chance to go out with me.
I use it in my Broadcasting Studio Suite. I have an Amateur radio license and I have this mixer running in front of my Yaesu FT101E and my Yaesu 991A.
I run Astatic D104 mic’s on the desk and this little mixer is getting excellent audio reports. The Ui12 isn’t just the stage anymore!
Brilliant little mixer!

I purchased this to use in my church where I don’t have as many hands who are well experienced of running sound. This allows me to help control the sound wherever I am in the church (preaching, playing, or sitting in audience)

I bought this in December 2015 while they had the $100 rebate (so I paid $299 for it), and for $300 this thing is the best friggin' piece of gear I've ever owned for small gigs (it replaces my much bigger mixer and the stage snake for half the price). It's sturdy, VERY compact, with nice grippy rubber feet and a solid case, the wifi connection was easy and quick, and the web-browser interface is user-friendly and very fast and easy to use. I only need 5-6 XLR inputs (2 guitars, 3 vox and maybe a cajon), so this is plenty big. My sound-guys all said "go for the 16-ch one, you'll want more inputs", but if I need more then I'll just call them to come do my sound instead. lol

When I bought this mixer, I could not believe just how easily it was to set up and get running. I used it the same day I received it and played a medium sized venue, the UI 12 performed beautifully. Now in hindsight, I wished I would've bought the UI 16 mixer just because it offers the ability to also record. Besides that, they are identical.

I just received this mixer today, To be honest I was afraid it might have a steep learning curve, Not true, I spent a few minutes watching the set up videos and started setting it up, It was amazingly easy to set up and use. I got it ready and I played out using it the same day I received it ! The built in Wi-Fi worked perfectly and without a flaw! I highly recommend this for a small band or solo artist. What a beautiful piece of equipment !
