The fact that this I/O interface has No Latency recording and monitoring, Onboard DSP's, and Direct integration like I've seen with any hardware to software with Cubase, makes it INVALUABLE a Cubase user. The CRYSTAL CLEAR DA/AD converters make it a steal for ANY user. When Cubase is off, you can use the included MR software app as a software interface to the unit and make turn the unit into a separate firewire, no latency mixer! Sweet. So not only can you use it with Cubase, or any other DAW, but as a stand-alone, NO LATENCY, hardware mixer w/ effects with compressor and Rev-X. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? It's a pretty straight forward audio I/O. It's fairly easy to use, but I HIGHLY advise that you read the manual. So you'll KNOW how to access features of the hardware. Some features and functions are push button and others require like setting the pad or phantom includes two buttons being depressed. The MR Editor (mixer) software is an integral part of the unit and holds great insight to what's going on under the hood. There's a minimalist approach to the face of the unit. So, outside of Cubase itself, the MR Editor app, is the way you access the hardware, it's mixer features, etc. This all becomes easier to comprehend once you have one. With the Class A ins & the built in Yamaha DSP specials this I/O is hard to beat.
