It appears to be the same quality I have come to expect from the brand as a whole. Reliability How has it stood up over time? It's brand new - time will tell. My current guitar is the GB7C model. This guitar was purchased for my son for Christmas. While I expect quality (based on my long time committment to the brand) I was prepared to give up a bit of quality for this lower priced instrument. I was very pleasantly surprised when I unboxed this guitar. The picture online doesn't do justice to the look of the instrument. Machines and hardware are gold plated with white tuner heads. Very sharp look. Pearl inlay around the soundhole is a very nice touch as well. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Played great straight out of the box. After Christmas I'll likely take it to our local luthier that always does set ups on my instruments. Not that it really needs it - but I just makes it a tad more easy to play. If you get an equal instrument to what we got - 99.99% of the people will love it straight out of the box. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? A little more bright that I normally prefer. But still nice. Have not plugged it into an amp or PA system to listed to the preamp at this point. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Top notch finish on this particular instrument. Action How was the action out of the box? Right out of the box the guitar was very playable. The action was acceptable and everything seemed in great order.

I have been playing for 22 years, and wanted to pick up an acoustic guitar for my 15 year old son. This is a beautifully playable guitar-very accessible and easy to jump in on right away.
