Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I am quite impressed with the build quality of this instrument. Finish is perfect! No problems at the joints. I can't find fault with mine. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it about 2 months now, but I've owned many acoustic guitars over the years and I've never had a problem with any of them. My other acoustics at the moment are an early '80s Martin D28 that I bought new and an Ovation Legend Limited Edition that I purchased in '96. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I'm blown away by the value for dollar on this guitar. Tone is a subjective matter, but having said that, I love the tone of this guitar. For me, it's the perfect balance of bright articulation and mellow harmonic richness. As far as playability goes - maybe I just got lucky with mine - but it plays easier and with better action than my Martin right out of the case!!! Granted, I'm using medium gauge Phosphers on the D28, and the Tak seems to have shipped with lights. Still - I'm comparing a $300 guitar with a $2000 one!!!! Unreal!! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? For a six string acoustic, I find the neck quite quick and comfortable. Action was great on delivery and intonation was spot on!!!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I love the tone of this guitar. For me, it's the perfect balance of bright articulation and mellow harmonic richness. Nice ring to the lower strings, yet quite articulate. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish is perfect. Action How was the action out of the box? As I have already stated, on delivery the action was perfect for me. Low enough to be comfortable and quick, but no fret outs or buzzing.
Can't beat it for the pricetag

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Takamine is doing something right. I have three takamine guitars. I have a high end acoustic, middle of the pack classical and now this low end acoustic. All are very well made and play beautifully. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've had for only a month but so far so good Overall Your general opinion of this product. I've always been a fan of Takamine products and this one is no different. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? plays flawlessly Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? A little bright but not too much to make any real fuss over it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Action How was the action out of the box? perfect, low action and no buzzing
very good
