Iron Cobras are pretty much known as a Metal/Speed pedal, and I was skeptical when I switched from DW. But this pedal is so much more versatile than I ever imagined! The longer footplates, super smooth gliding from the thick quality chain, the durability is as good as I’ve ever played and when you flip the beaters around you get such different tones out of your bass drum….No matter how you set your bass pedal up, this Cobra will handle it no problem!…And being for sale around $250-$299 it’s easily the best pedal for the money hands down!

Like everything Tama makes, this double pedal is solidly well made. From the spring adjustments that have detents on the bottom that won't let the springs loosen while playing - to the longboard designed footboards that are smooth and allow for easy foot position changes while playing. Leave it to Tama to figure out a way to produce such a well made pedal, this smooth and solid, that you don't need a drum endorsement to obtain! Thank you AMS for your fast processing time and delivery. My double pedal arrived in about 3 days from time of order in pristine shape.

If you’re just learning double bass pedal, these are a good set of pedals to get you started. Any lower quality than this, and the equipment would inhibit the learning process. These are as little money as you can spend and get quality pedals that won’t get in the way of learning double pedal.

These pedals are oversized but extremely fast action. I love them because I can play just about any drum track and these pedals keep write up with it. And when they hit they've got a punch and I'm in a real punch I wouldn't have any other pedals.

I have a tama 900 iron cobra double pedal. Two tama 310 speed cobra single pedals. And u love them all. But my band is starting to play out more and I don't want to take the second bass drum, And honestly I've fallen in love with the speed cobra pedals. The longboard makes my playing smoother and effortless. So just wanted to say thank you tama for making great on p products and thank you American musical for great customer service and great products. Enjoy life, play music and be happy.

Really did the trick, went from a power cobra to a speed cobra and it immediately contributed to better footwork for metal styles and fast playing. Test your tension, play around until you're comfortable. Nothing works Better then solid gear and practice!

Holy smokes this is one smooth kick!! The right peddle is so responsive!!.. and I have the tension set light... I am still not really good with my left leg.. but the response is amazing.. I realized that even though I wasn’t playing double basses, I was pushing on the left peddle as I would the high hat peddle... and the mallet was on the head of my base... wow!! It made the base sound different... so if you wanted to experiment with the sound by doing this it is perfect!!.. when I am on laying double base.. it is so smooth and quick!! I barely have to push and it’s hitting!! This is an amazing peddle!!

Original pedal I had was a CRUSH one and it came with the set I had bought at the time which was also fantastic but in getting a bit better and more fluid this has exponentially grown my skill and ability. Easy to use, easy to set up. Had it for a few months now and I love it.

I had only tried this pedal in stores but actually getting it out in the world and trying it made leaps and bounds difference. The delivery was faster than I expected. Package arrived in pristine condition. Pedal was easy to unbox and assemble. Instructions were easy to decipher and came with drum key. I used this on my kit and my legs didn't seem to tire as easily as they had before and I didn't have to use much effort to get a great sound. I highly recommend this pedal for everyone.

I bought this pedal to convert it to a double pedal to use on a Tama Cocktail kit. I didnt want to spend a great deal of money because I mainly used this kit for teaching so I went with a pedal that was less expensive. First it was easy to remove the cams and beaters to convert the pedal so it can be used on this kit. I was shocked on how smooth this pedal worked on this kit. It felt as good as my first Iron Cobra pedal functioned I bought in the 90s. This pedal is an excellent pedal with smooth action.
