Tama's reputation for strength and quality are well-known and this kit does not disappoint.
Features:
From the superhero-caliber durability of the shells, lugs and Star-Cast mounting system to the best laquer finish I've seen on ANY kit of ANY brand, this one has it all. The only feature this kit needs is a drummer behind it.
Sound:
The bass thunders like no other -- and don't let the scaled-down size of the Hyper-Drive toms fool you -- they not only look lean and mean on this kit, they punch out a boom better than toms twice their size -- with no annoying overring.
Overall:
These are state-of-the-art drums -- forget upgrades once you have this kit.
Value:
The shell kit by itself is an amazing value from AMS -- add the necessary Tama hardware and you're the owner of a kit costing well-over 3000 dollars anywhere else for about half that.
Appearance:
Pictures don't do the kit justice -- the laquer finish shines like a mirror and the black nickel lugs and rims accent the brilliant finish.
