Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very well made as TAMA would expect... The difference is this is Chinese and not Japanese... That turns some people off... However with the same tones as its cousin the Starclassic B/B is prettey amazing for the price and is good right out of the box.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The birch plys with Tamo wrap to the mounts are what is expected from TAMA. Very tunable pitch as I am using in a studio and can be adjusted for any style or angle.
Sound
How is the tone?
Great tone.. As I have compared to the PDP concept birch/ Mapex or the Gretch catalina, this one has more tonal ability in my opinion. The bass drum punches right out of the box (i would put a "eq pad" in) and thats all I needed. I like to crank down the snare and it absolutly cracks. Toms ive pitched high and low. Its better with the 8 a little high, then tune the 10 and floor octave lower than expected. Ive only muffled with a little moon gel and let the rest fly.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Great for the drummer that "ain't rich yet". I've played on much more expensive and pieced together and this takes the cake. I will not rate anything perfect so thats the lack of full 5 stars. I would always want more features with less cost...The American way.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
GREAT price for the product... Limited production so get them when available
Appearance
Appearance
absolutly gorgeous... There is a matte and satin version. both usually found at a competitor.
