Great job from Tascam!
I'll recommend it to a lot of my friends!
Features:
24 bits 44.1 khz, or 48 khz for video tracking. Amazing!!
I haven't try the mp3 mode yet, but I'm quite sure it's just fine!
Ease of Use:
You just don't need to open the manual. As simple as that seriously. Ready in 5 seconds, play your stuffs, record it and listen to it immediatly.
Sound:
Pretty cool actually!
I'm still editing it in Cubase 5 after, but it is right all the way!
Reliability:
Yeah ok, it's still plastic all the way, but you gotta take care of your stuffs in life you know! Get a good travel case and that's it!

It even changes the key
Quality:
Made very well. It is light and I'm kind of worried about the cover for the USB and SD card
Features:
I love being able to record a lead in a song and then slow it down to figure it out. The loop is excellent. I can play a part of a song over and over in order to get it down. The greatest feature is the ability to change the KEY of a song. If the original song is in C and you want to play it in A than you can just record the song and then when playing it back change the key and play along with it. It makes learning the leads a snap. I love this thing. Greatest toy I've had in a long time.
Ease of Use:
This recorder is very easy to use. I did have to take a little time and review the manual and I still don't know all the features. I'm up and running with it and will learn all the other features as I go.
Sound:
Not bad. I haven't connnected it to my computer yet. You really have to adjust the recording level when recording....just reveiw the manual
Reliability:
I've had it for about 3 months and so far it has held up. No problems at all. I do need to get a little case for it. Also, it EATS UP BATTERIES. GET THE ADAPTOR. I'm having to go back and do that now.
Overall:
Overall this is a great device. The sound is ok but I'm not using it for that purpose....it is a great training tool and recorder for those songs you come up with on the fly.

Quality:
It's been reliable thus far, and I expect it to be a workhorse, just like past Tascam products.
Features:
The limiter feature is nice in a loud environment. You can dial it back to get a surprisingly clear recording in a loud club or practice space. The shuttle feature works well, and the ability to record in both WAV and MP3 is awesome.
Ease of Use:
Simple. Open the box and you can be recording in mere minutes. The interface is very intuitive, and the manual (should you choose to read it) is clear and concise.
Sound:
Sounds great. The recording quality is excellent, especially given the price point.
Reliability:
I've had it about a month, and it seems well built. Not "throw against a brick wall" sturdy, but should handle drops & day to day use just fine.
Overall:
It rocks. Every time I break this puppy out at a practice or gig, I get folks in awe of the recording quality and clarity and asking how they can get one.

Ease of Use:
Easy to use but read the manual.
Sound:
The best recordings I have made, direct from my amp.

Ease of Use:
This was very simple to use. Brought it to practice and captured our live performance with great clarity! After burning the files to CD, the sound came out just as nice.
Overall:
Great device! I had enough with trying to record our practices using my iPhone. This records all instruments clearly without distortion or having to place it in a certain location. It picked up all instruments while next to my guitar amp.

solid, simple, great little recorder!
Quality:
escellent quality, nice with to it. I use rechargable NIHM batteries and they last much longer than regular batteries.
Features:
I can split a 2 hour recording into as many clips as I want, as long as its a a wav recording file. I only use wav since it's the best quality. I can then work more details once copied to my laptop.
Ease of Use:
What I love most abount my Tascam DR-07 is the ease of use. I just chose my recording settings and press record, check the sound levels, press record again and go.
Sound:
Sounds very good with the internal mikes, I can only imagine what I can get if I used external mics.
Reliability:
I've only had it a little over a month, but I don;t see this thing breaking unless I drop it of a 3 story building.
Overall:
I havent tried it with a full band yet. That will be the real test. But I can imagine that irt will be a matter of finding the right settings and positioning of this device, and maybe even use of an esternal mic. We'll see how the drums sound, that will be the challenge.

Well crafted and engineered. Maybe if the mics could be disable when recording from line input would help- but no complaints about that...

Always Be Able to Capture or Demo Your Ideas
Quality:
So far so good! This definitely isn't a top end model, but for the price it's a great value and will suit my needs just fine.
Features:
The standout features of this unit are definitely the portability, sound quality, and the price! The only thing I would add is a built-in speaker for playback. Oh well, just have to carry headphones with me when I take the unit out.
Ease of Use:
This unit is fairly simple, but there are quite a few functions, so don't throw away the owner's manual on this one! I haven't tried to use any of the looping or editing functions, just needed something that will record when I press go, and this does that simply enough.
Sound:
The tone is decent. We've mostly been doing guitar and drum demos so the other bandmates can catch up on the new material. Definitely not going to release anything we make with it, but it's a good writing tool. It seems to really like my guitar frequencies, and it does a respectable job of capturing the kick drum. It has a limiting function that keeps the unit from clipping, but I prefer leaving it off so things don't get squashed.
Reliability:
Not sure yet, but seems sturdy enough.
Overall:
This is a very cool and affordable way to capture and demo your ideas. The stereo mic performs a lot better than I thought it would, you just have to play around a bit with finding a sweet spot and setting the right input volume. Definitely a useful purchase.

A Good Portable Digital Recorder
Quality:
Although made of plastic, it feels sturdy. (I would not recommend you drop it however, or throw it at your band mates.)
Features:
The important features are here without the fluff. Records wav, mp3. Has loop function and slows down recordings so it can be used to learn music as well as recording it. It is small and light weight. Although no on board speaker to monitor sound, it would just add weight to the unit, so I'm glad they left it off. Comes with wind screen for the built in mics which are sensitive. I do wish, however, it had digital ins and outs. Also, it numbers the files rather than naming it. You can however, transfer the files to computer and name them there.
Ease of Use:
Simple, like a tape recorder. I didn't even have to open the manuel to start using it.
Sound:
Pretty darn good for the price point. MP3 great for recording ideas or songs to learn, wav for better fidelity. Sounds nice and crisp with wav recordings.
Reliability:
I have had it several months. Still ok.
Overall:
I am very happy with it. Nice price for the stuff you need without paying for the fluff you might not use.
