RuneFire Records from Anchorage, Alaska, USA
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
All in all, this piece of equipment has worked pretty well. I have had to reset it because of the "blinky lights" problem a couple of times (which I read about on forums), but otherwise it has done everything I need it to.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The best feature of this is the zero-latency multitrack recording! Never worry about computer lag again with this guy! If there is one thing that is missing, it would be a dedicated Effects Send/Return for post processing, instead of having to share the monitor outs and taking up two channels as well.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
It did the basic functions right out of the box. However, I tried a few different DAWs with this, and Cubase is the only one that seems to use all of the functions that this interface has to offer. Otherwise, it can be a huge pain in the neck to midi program every button to function with any other DAW. The manuals would be nice if they were in print, but you can at least read them as PDF.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Great item for the value! I have recorded 6 bands with this, and wouldn't trade it in for anything. If it broke, I would probably buy a new one.
