Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems really well made & I've encountered no issues in the several weeks I've owned it. Still on the original batteries too! I'm pretty impressed with the power consumption of this unit. No need for an ac adapter! FYI, the little 2G sd card that comes installed holds a LOT of tracks. I now have over 100 songs @ 128k mp3 quality loaded, with a lot of room for more! Reliability How has it stood up over time? Overall Your general opinion of this product. I've used one of their old models for cd's, & found the tracking to be a lot less reliable. This new one doesn't have that issue. Very reliable playback, & very good sound quality. As a guitar instructor, I just wish this had been around 30 years ago. The battery life has exceeded my expectations as well. The only changes I would make, would be to add a LED light to the display to make it easier to read, & better sounding effects for your guitar. Small gripes though. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? As mentioned, the sound quality is really good. I'm going to be using this as a backup player to my old mp3 player for all of my future guitar clinics. Plus, I won't have to charge it up on my pc's usb for 2 hours to get it ready! Nice to have a dependable backup on hand!! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Looks nice. Professional design, & layout is really simple to use. Action How was the action out of the box?
What did I do before Tascam created this awesome line of products?!?!?

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? With no moving parts, the design is about as simple as it gets. Hopefully, it will never live to see the 'drop test', but the unit does appear to be fairly sturdy in construction. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Overall Your general opinion of this product. Tascam knocks it out of the park with this gizmo. Compact size, ease of operation, functionality, and portable design all come together in one simple package...AND it fits in your pocket. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Action How was the action out of the box? Out of the box, the unit was ready to go. The operation manual was fairly thorough and explained ops very well.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? There aren't alot of other manufacturers making these, so it's hard to compare. I believe it is well made for the purpose intended. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I picked this unit over the CD trainers since there is no moving parts to wear out. I've only owned it a short time, but no problems so far. Just load up your favorite MP3's and start playing along. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I think this is a well made product with just the right feature set. I wish I had one of these when I first started playing bass many years ago. It would of sure helped me learn some of my favorite bass solos a lot faster. I agree that a backlit LCD would be a nice addition, although in normal lighting conditions the LCD is easy enough to read and I suppose not having it backlit helps extend the battery life a little bit. My son is learning some of his favorite bass lines with this unit and loves being able to slow down the music without changing the pitch. Being able to record is also a nice plus. It's a little weak in the effects department, but hey as long as it does the primary job I have no major complaints. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? All control buttons are logically layed out and intuitive to use. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? N/A Finish How did the stain or paint job look? N/A Action How was the action out of the box? N/A

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Well now it is what it ia. Owners of the previous trainers will not be too surprised ....a few new features, more intuitive buttons , dedicated footswitch input ( if and when it becomes available) BUT THERE ARE 2 GLARING WTF'S....THE POWEROPTONS (no recharge lithium like the previous MP.....AND....HOW ON EARTH CAN A BACKLIGHT BE OVERLOOKED...i truly like the new functions but those are just frustrating "leave outs" Reliability How has it stood up over time? looks sturdy enough Overall Your general opinion of this product. I was excited to get this product. Everytime there is an upgrade of the trainer i get it ( so i now own 3) The recorder is an added bonus..nice Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Menu's aand buttons are a bit more intuitive Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? N/A Finish How did the stain or paint job look? N/A Action How was the action out of the box? N/A
