With the addition of this piece of equipment to my home studio, i finally get to achieve the professional sound i’ve been looking for. It has a built in compressor that is easy to manage, a ton of various vocal presets, that i can also manually adjust to make it my own, two different sets of EQ so i can dial in precisely the vocal sound i’m wanting, and my personal favorite, a built in tube warmer that i have complete control over the warmth of my vocals. And last but not least , it comes with auto tune, if you’re into that.

Have been confident in TASCAM products since the reel-to-reel days (telling my age here). This processor does not disappoint. Bit of a learning curve, but results sound more natural and subtle than the plug-ins of a DAW. Of course, the capability is there to go wild, if that's your thing. Overall, am impressed with the TA1VP on a professional level (not for the novice) and would highly recommend for the serious studio and music producer alike.

So don't expect analog warmth.
It's not an absolute necessity, anyway.
The compressor is great to capture vocals on a lower ratio, but great taming live vocals on a little higher setting, as well.
Pristine digital sound, not in a pejorative meaning.
I use it in my studio for dubbing and pitch correcting on a gentle setting, works like a charm.

I was looking at this piece of gear for a while and decided to purchase. Another option for me to use. (My vocals need all the help I can get, lol)
You really have to take your time to learn how to use it. I like being able to have an additional line out to double vocals and a line in to use one of my other mic pres.

Tascam is a definitely name you can trust! Combine the name "Antares" (the developer) of Auto Tune & Mic Modeler, in a one rack mount module - what more can you ask for? I was so stoked from day one that I had to have it one my studio!!
I cannot forget to mention that in addition to Auto Tune & Mic Modeler, it also has your compressor / gate, de-esser, and EQ built in to the unit. All variable and programmable. I am loving it from day one!!!
Less than two weeks!
Definitively meets my expectations and beyond!

YES, IT'S A TASCAM, VERY DEPENDABLE.IT REPLACED ALL OF MY MIC PRE AMPS. I DON'T EVEN REMOVE IT FROM THE INPUT OF MY COMPUTER. THE MIC MOD. MAKES
THAT UNNECESSARY. YOU JUST SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT MIC TYPE, LEAVE THE PITCH CORRECT ENGAGED AND RECORD,RESULTS ARE EXCELLENT EVERY TIME.
I RATE IT A FIVE, EASILY.-J MUQADDIM, PLAYTOE RECORDS.
I THINK THE BEST FEATURES ARE THE MIC MODELING ,THE PITCH CORRECTION, AND THE OVERALL QUALITY IT GIVES YOUR VOCALS. CUTS DOWN ON EDITING, AND
SIGNAL PROCESSING.THE FEATURE I WOULD ADDIS BIGGER CONTROL KNOBS.
THE PRODUCT IS EASTO USE, THE DISPLAY COULD BE BIGGER, BUT OVERALL, EASY TO READ. IT TOOK NO TIME TO LEARN TO USE, I DID TWO SESSIONS THE SAME DAY IT ARRIVED, WITH EXCELLENT VOCAL RESULTS AFTER SKIMMING THRU THE MSNUAL

WELL, I;VE ONLY OWNED IT THREE MONTHS,THAT'S NOT VERY LONG, BUT IT'S A TASCAM, AND LIKE I SAID, I USE IT ON EVERY ONE OF MY DAILY SESSIONS.I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS BUYING ANOTHER, BECAUSE THE PRICE IS WORTH IT.

MY GENERAL OPINION OF THIS PRODUCT IS AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE MONEY. I HAVE PREAMPS THAT ARE MORE COSTLY, BUT NOT AS EASY TO USE. I BELIEVE THAT IS ONE OF THE VERY REASONS TASCAM AND ATARI CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF STUFFING FOUR OF YOUR BIGGEST VOX PROBLEMS IN ONE PKG.
