Taylor 114 is no great bargain
Quality:
No, it is not "made well" at all. The body wood is micro-thin, and it appears it would be easy to damage
Sound:
The tone is excellent and very dynamic. The guitar will adapt to your style of picking or strumming.
Reliability:
I've only played it at home a few times. I don't believe this guitar would withstand abusive conditions.
Overall:
The price is high. The quality is mediocre at best. I essentially paid a premium for the name "Taylor". Yes it looks like a Taylor, and it even sounds like a Taylor. But it's cheaply constructed outside of the US. If I squeezed hard enough with my hand on the back of this guitar, I probably could crack the body. For the money, I'm confident there are several "off brand" guitars with better quality for a lower price.
Playability and Feel:
I can't get used to the neck size and spacing. I have big hands, and it's difficult for me to chord because the strings are too close together.
Tone:
The guitar has an excellent bright tone, and it is very dynamic. You could fall in love with the way this guitar sounds
Finish:
Cheap. Very lightweight, dull matte finish. No shine at all.
Action:
The action is excellent.
