Product Review Most of the hybrid guitars out there have great acoustic features and one electric tone. This guitar is the only one I have found that is geared towards the electric player in a band that needs electric pickup selections (neck, bridge, both, etc) AND a great acoustic tone. It also comes with a compensated saddle made for a plain g string so you can play electric strings and bend like you normally would on an electric guitar. It was a perfect choice for my band situation!

Product Review This is the second one of these guitars I’ve owned. Missed the versatility (acoustic sounds/electric sounds) so much I ended buying another one to replace the old one. The guitar is also stunning.

Product Review Yes indeed, the Taylor T5 is everything they say it is and more!! Mine is very lightweight at 4 lbs 5oz. The neck profile is very thin and extremely comfortable! The 5 positions of various pickup configurations available on the T5, give the player just about any tone for any playing situation. This guitar is so comfortable to play, I have a difficult time putting it down! Even with no amp, I can sit and practice and have very good tone come from the instrument! If you are looking for a versatile acoustic/electric guitar, you must look into the Taylor T5!!! Thank you AMS! You guys are the BEST!

Product Review I bought this from AMS to us as an acoustic. The reason is b/c the ligament between my index finger and thumb on my left fretting hand gets fatigued/cramped while playing an acoustic after 15 mins of play. Strange b/c my 2006 Gibson LPJ Melody Maker has never hurt my hand. I tried a bunch of acoustics like a Martin 000X1AE, 000RSGT, Taylor 214, 414 & they all hurt my hand after 15 mins. So as a last ditch effort I tried the Taylor T5 since it was classified as a hybrid & pretty much an electric guitar. Boy was I amazed how easy it was to play & my hand felt great. I played this through my Fishman Loudbox Mini & it sounded fantastic. Also, IMO the acoustic sensor makes this guitar sound like a real acoustic. Unplugged, I would say it also sounds like a real acoustic & the loudness level is a little bit lower than a concert body guitar. However, the unplugged loudness is great for songwriting by yourself or with another. Anymore than two people & you might need an amp.
