I really like the tube tone, If you did not know any better you would think you were hearing a real tube amp. The one thing I do not like is the lack of an FX loop, there is no way to bypass the preamp, so using something like the higer up sansamp and Tec-21 gadgets are out! Sound How is the tone? This thing sound great, you can dial in any tone you want! Overall Your general opinion of this product. Outside of not having the FX loop, I love this head, I have it paired with a BC 410 cab and have giged small to large clubs and it never lets me down Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This think rocks, just trust me. I you are thinking even a little bit about getting this amp, go for it.

Crank up the Gain and Tube Tone a bit, and this baby will match anything put out by GK or Ampeg !!! Sound How is the tone? No shortage of "low-end" growl here... bring it on you tube totin' fools !!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I gotta a 1960's Reissue P-Bass with Quarter Pounders, and I usually play with a pick. The sky is the limit in terms of tone.
