The Harmony Singer really does a great job of generating very human like harmonies. As long as you sing on key, it does the rest. The built in reverb is superb. The magic ingredient is the Tone button, which just makes you sound better. I attached the Harmony Singer to my computer and got all the latest upgrades, including a "less bright tone style" option (which really suited my voice and PA speakers). There is a gain switch to adjust the input gain for any microphone, and you can dial in as much harmony as you want for a realistic sound.
The harmonies are really well done and give you a variety to choose from so you can fit the harmonies to the song. I don't have any trouble getting the Harmony Singer to pick up the right harmonies, even when fingerpicking.
I suggest you check out the You Tube and TC Helicon produced demonstration videos, especially the 'girl with the green hair' on You Tube.

Your general opinion of this product.
I couldn't be happier even if I was twins. Any guitar player/singer that doesn't have one of these will soon be behind the curve. I don't have enough superlatives on file in my brain to start explaining what a jewel this is. BUY IT NOW!
Very well made. heavy duty casing with nice non skid base.
Anyone who can't figure out how to use this in 10 minutes is slow on the uptake. Plug in your guitar, plug in your mic, send the XLR line to your PA and send the output line to your guitar amp. Select a reverb choice and which of 8 choices in voices to harmonize with you. Play and sing your favorite song and have your mind blown.
Ease of use is very high. One thing that is already apparent is that I am now doing songs I never considered trying before. The only thing I would add to it would be switched 48v phantom power rather than the always on 24v, but that is because my Heil Fin microphone has LED's that shine through the grill and requires all 48. I solved that by putting my Voice Double before it in line rather than after.
One of the best features of it is the Tone button. You can read all the tech stuff about it elsewhere, but I've never sounded better without even doing anything more to my mixer than making the eq flat.
Little early on to be asking as this only came out a few weeks ago, but as I indicated earlier, it looks stronger than a garlic milkshake.
