Your general opinion of this product. As a bass player primarily, I just needed something to add effects for my background vocals. I didn't need alot of bells and whistles, and didn't want a huge learning curve. This does the trick! Very nice tone, adjustable tap delays, and super easy to use...less than 5 mins to get the sound I liked and learned how to tweak with the knobs. Nice price too. I've only had a couple months, probably 8 gigs so far, but works great. Metal casing, solid buttons, seems built well. The rubber-like material on bottom doesn't slip around on stage. VERY simple, I love that part, no huge instruction manuals or complicated setups. Just plug in and turn dials. The tap function I had to read the book to find, but very simple once you have the button combo. My lead singer has a fancier one with harmonies, etc. but the reverbs and delays sound almost the same to me...and this one 1/3 the price of most of the others! I like the simplicity of it...I would like to see an actual ON/OFF switch. This you just plug in and unplug to turn off. Very nice, everything I was looking for without wading through tons of effects and stuff I'll never use (megaphone, distortions, etc). The "tone eq" setting fattens vocals up nicely, I'm using with the MP-75 mic (same company) and it sounds terrific. Not sure, only been a couple of months, but so far so good.

Your general opinion of this product. Well-made, solid metal body and the rubber shock mount gasket on the base is nice touch. Dependability will have to wait until I've had it a while, but it sure packs a lot of features into a convenient package. Plugged it up and was using it in five minutes. The adaptive tone is a real blessing...you will be surprised at just how much more polished it makes your voice sound. In a word, sweet. Takes the place of more expensive units in convenient pedal. Will know when I've had it a while, but I take care of my equipment and this thing is built pretty solid.

This thing is solid. In person, it looks so much nicer than on the web. They did a great job on the design, and all the knobs feel great. For a while now, I've been hoping that TC Helicon was going to make a product exactly for what I needed. I don't need phasers, or distortion, or a whole list of other effects. I REALLY don't need harmonies added to my voice, which seem to bump of the price of a unit by hundreds. I would list the things that I do need, but you can just check the features of the mic mechanic, and you have it. I gave it a four because part of me wants to be able to control All of the aspects of the tone knob. )The compression settings and the eq settings). But to be honest, when I get to a show, the last thing I want to do is mess with that stuff. It just works and sounds great. One thing I think would've been cool is if you could control the reverb & delay's mix separately. Then again, it's not really an fx unit, and you're even able to tap the tempo of your delay while playing guitar or anything. It rules. Well, I don't need to bring my rack to shows anymore. It fits on my pedal board (I play guitar and sing). Literally, hop on stage, mute mic channel, pop in my own cable to the in, and the venue's cable to the out. Nothing easier than that. Also, inbetween songs, I just tap the button with my foot to turn off the delay. That's something that was a pain with my rack unit. Hit the tone button. Sing. Turn the tone button off. You'll be amazed to hear what you're missing. That tone button just really clears up your voice. With my 58, it clears up that muddy low end and adds an awesome clarity to my voice. Delays are great and easy to control, and the reverb is spot on. I've only had it for a couple weeks, but with TC Helicon's reputation and the sturdy construction of this unit, I'm not at all worried about it. Your general opinion of this product. Thanks TC Helicon for finally making this. Great price, Great features, exactly what I needed. If you want your vocal to stand out live and you don't play great stages with your own personal sound guy, this is what you need.
