Product Rating Product Review the RH450 is a wonderful amp, that does not keep you wondering! The control knobs are easy to read, and very straight to the point. I have been using this amp on gigs and practicing at home now, for almost a month and so far is am well pleased. This amp has a crisp and warm, response to my bass (Sire 5 string). This amp can really rock with you. I like the Spectracomp compressor and the Tubetone features, very musical. If you crank the Tubetone knob all the way up, you can pretty outrageous sounds. I wish there was a way to play music thru the headphones but have an option to have the bass sound thru your cabs or the headphones itself. All in all, this amp has been a wonderful investment.

Product Review This amp is very well made with features that make practice and gigging easier. The product seems very sturdy and with the handle built into the frame easy to carry and hard to drop. All of the pots are firm and none of the jacks or pots are scratchy. My favorite features are the mute, always on tuner, and the 3 easy to use presets. The sound quality is good. It makes my speakers come alive and also sends a clean DI signal to the board. I pair it with one or two SWR 1x12 golights, and I always have the power that I need. I also use it with and Avatar 2x12 and it thunders with no sweat. I also use a GK 700RBII with the Avatar and they both sound great. The TC is just easier to put in a bag over my shoulder and take to a gig or practice, while the GK is heavier and has to go in a rack case. The controls make sense and the pots turn smoothly yet firmly. The amp is not heavy yet still feels solid. I purchased a demo head so I got a great a value, but this head is still a great value if bought at the new price.

Product Review After trying several others in this price range this blew me away. Well designed and well executed with quality materials. Everything works, no gimmicks. Multiband compressor works very well. Gets an astounding modern tone. Straightforward and easy to use. Get the foot switch, it's worth it for the tuner alone. Wonderful modern tones. Tube sim is useful to about 30%. Better sounding than most in that aspect. Exceptional value. Worth the money.

Product Review Overall, I really love this amp. I use it with a RS210 and a Mesa 1x15. It has huge sound in a small package. I've had this for 1 week and played 2 gigs with it. The first gig was the night after it arrived and it was a jazz and soft rock gig in a very small club. I brought it with just the 1x10 cab. I used a vintage Fender Jazz and an Ibanez SR600. I kept the volume between 2 and 3 and it was (almost) too loud. The next gig was an outdoor gig and I got paid extra to supply my amp as the back-line for me and 3 other bands. So 4 different players got a chance at it. I used both the 2x10 and the 1x15. First, every bass player who played it had nothing but good things to say about this amp. All without being prompted. The tone coming out of this was tremendous. It really does bring out the tone of the individual bass being played through it. This thing has so much bottom and clarity that I could keep the volume well blended with the group sound and hear every note and tone that played. It seems really well made. I can see though, how some other comments about the knobs being fragile are correct. I do worry about hitting one of those knobs and knocking it off. Other than that, I am impressed with how rugged this thing is. Everything is as expected. I love the SpectraComp multiband compressor. It really helped when I thumb and popped Steely Dan's Peg at a low volume. I also liked the Aux in and headphone option for practice. It's pretty convenient. I am not impressed with Tube Tone. Ok at just a little bit but anything more than 3 or 4 and it just sounds like a overdrive pedal and cheap one at that. On a side note, the keyboard player loved the always-on tuner. We played a song he wasn't familiar with and he watched the tuner to see the notes I was playing. LOL By far the cleanest sound and a huge tone monster. My last amp was Mesa Boogie MPulse 600. This amp is has just as much bottom and tone. The tone is so clean that I can really hear the difference when I play over the neck vs. near the bridge or on the sweet spot over the pick-ups. For the most part, yes. The Mem buttons, shift and mute are recessed (which is ok), but dark. I could not see the buttons on the stage. It did come with a footswitch that will help, but I would rather not use that. By far the best feature of this amp is it's incredible tone. I think this amp would be appropriate for any tone or gig required. I haven't tried my upright on a gig yet, but it sounds incredible here at home. Honestly, for both of my gigs and several different basses the tone has been completely flat and it sounded great. 1 player who used it did increase the bass (too much I thought) and backed off the mids. It sounded really good too. I am not a metal player but I think it would work for that too. By far this is a great value for the money. I really should wait a couple of years and see how it holds up though.

Just Amazing

Very dependable All I can say is that is a very loud small amp. And the compressor and the tube simulator makes it a very all-included-just-out-of-the-box amplifier. If you dont do weird stuff like the guy of muse, is just perfect as it is. Crystal clear tone. I have never heard my bass sound this clear before. Your general opinion of this product. Despite the fact that Bass Gear says is only a 230 watts amp, I will have to agreed with TC Electronic and its quasi watts : it does sound like a 450 watts amp and it pumps out power as a 450 watts amp. I have try it on a Goliath-iii and it just sounds unbelievable loud. Ok As I said before, crystal clear. Ok Ok

It's made by tc electronic so I think it will be very dependable. Every feature is well thought out: Tuner Presets Foot Controller with display iPod/MP3 player jack Very transparent - sounds great with the EQ flat. It allows me to fully utilize the onboard EQ on my EBMM Bongo 5HH and Carvin SB5000. They both sound amazing through this amp. It definitely feels likes it's louder than the 450w rating.
