Product Review So far I have been very happy with this amp. I love that it has the 3 channel memory. I set a channel for my Stingray, Fretless Hohner, and Kala U-bass. Sometimes I switch basses at gigs so it's nice to be able to click over quickly and have the right settings. The compression and and Tubetone I am still exploring but it is a nice feature as well. Built in tuner is handy and I like that amp is so light weight. Its got plenty of power too!

Product Review I have read about the TCE RH450/750 heads and ultimately decided on the RH750 along with the RC4 controller unit. I got them mid last week and played with the head for about 2 hours on Friday evening and took it to the gig on Sat Evening. Took my old rack just-in-case but it never saw the cable from my bass the entire gig. The RH750 purred and I got so many compliments on the sound of my bass that I will find it hard to go back to the old rack even as a backup. The tone range is excellent and the combination of the SpectraComp & TubeTone allowed me to get the sounds out of my cabs I had never heard before. I'm going to be tweaking things for awhile I am guessing due to what seems like an unlimited set of possibilities that are going to take awhile to master. So far I am having a ball !!!! Both the head and the RC4 controller are built in an extremely durable manner and I suspect short of actual abuse they will hold up to a lifetime of reasonable use. At this point in time I find them to be more than I expected but also acknowledge I only have a few hours of use on the head and the greater majority were playing so constantly turned around and changing dials was out of the question. I love the richness I was able to get within minutes of first turning it on. Might be because of the many many reviews I had read about the product prior to taking the plunge. But when the soundman comes up to you and says I did very little to tweak the sound of your bass, just boosted your FOH volume and it sounded fabulous... it is a good thing as our soundman has years of experience and not just a friend we asked to handle the board. Layout is good and the lighted rings showing where the knob is currently set to are neat, too. I did not mess with this too much on the gig but the prior night I was have fun playing with the range from clean to a fairly crazy overdriven tube sound. I will find the right place to use the different sounds given a little more time to learn how to get the head quickly from one sound to the other... the Memory Locations (3 of them) will probably help a lot, too. So far, fairly early in the game, I am very happy. There were some other heads in the same power & options range ... some a bit cheaper too... but in my case having finally getting the funds necessary and wanting one of these for quite awhile, I had to go all the way and see if it was everything the hype made it out to be. If I had stopped short (gotten a different head) and it did not turn out to be everything I wanted I would be kicking myself for not following my original desires. It is up to the RH750 to convince me beyond the shadow of a doubt that I did right and it has only had one gig so far... I suspect it will live up to my expectations. I had heard people mention that they got a defective or DOA unit, so far the DAW output is the only thing unchecked and my head appears to work perfectly !!!

This unit is built to last - it feel like you spent your money on something worth it. There was a controversy about TCE overstating the powere rating on the RH450. Not sure you are really getting 750 watts on the RH750. TCE has yet to respond - this is not a plus... Added value for the features. I really think the power on/off switch is to close to the power out. The tuner takes some gettin use to... This is the best sounding amp I have owned and I have owned SWR, EDEN,Kustom, and a lot of others. Your general opinion of this product. Great amp - a bit pricy especially if it is found to be less than 750 watts. TCE failure to communicate clearly to customers is not good. Good, strong versital , good feel with the right settings. Versital tone. Very high end looking - metal. Easy to set up.

TC Electronic RH750 Love it

It has worked flawlessly and been very dependable. What amazes me is after playing it all night it's still room temperature. I love the 3 presets. I play a Hofner, Ric and a J-bass. I can hit one of the three presets and it automatically sets the tone stack, pre gain and compression. The 8.8 pounds is a great feature at 2:00am after playing 80lb tube stuff you years It sounds great, punchy, tight and the tone controls are very responisve. The tube emulator doesn't really sound like an overdriven tube but it's okay. Your general opinion of this product. A real winner, a little pricey maybe but technology like this seldom comes cheap. It will save me a fortune on Chiropractor bills...... light as can be, the controls are great and the back lite scale makes it easy to see in a dark venue. Anyway you like. Very easy to dial in any sound you like. The brushed aluminum looks great and the ergonomic handle makes it a breeze to handle. Perfect

this amp was built for the road. saves your back and you can stuff it in a bag for easy transport. Mine is going in a rack ;-) number one is the Spectracomp. A true multi-band compressor. Finally a compressor built into an amp that keeps the highs compressed how we like it but doesn't suffocate the low end. TC has done a great job in the TubeTone as well. Not only emulating preamp tubes but also the characteristics of tubes in the power section as well. Now we can go between a "tube" or solid state sound at the flick of a switch. clear and punchy. basic black. can't go wrong. this amp is very simple to use. My basses have distinctly different tones and levels of output so I like the option for different presets. Lightweight too. You don't have to carry around a boat anchor to produce good solid bass anymore!
