Very powerful yet easy to use

Product Rating Product Review That's the thing about processors such as this. The things it can do are indeed amazing. But is it agile enough to work with you while you're playing and singing a song without imposing an unacceptable workload? I'm happy to say that right out of the box, the Voicelive 2 simply went to work. Usable presets and clean footswitch arrangement made it a piece of gear that I just fell right into using. Besides, it's fun and augments your creativity just by playing with it!

Product Review With this magical processor you can do any vocal style you think it you make and the system give you the confidence. I bought this processor I play in the bar and for small gigs I command a crowd with the sound coming out I got a piece JBL 15 ins power speakers with this processor I do rock. I love it and wi. Surely reccomend it to a musician playing by yourself of group you can freeze your back up singers or lead vocal for different keys.

Product Review Alright, I HEARD great things about this, but I wasn’t expecting it to live up to the hype. I was WRONG. First, this thing is easy to use and sounds amazing. I bought it for my wife, and in only a couple of hours before a show she was able to get the settings where she needed, and it sounded wonderful. Now, after the show, we decided to just have some fun and made ourselves sound like guitars and PopEye and Olive Oil.

Product Review This vocal processor is an absolute beast of a machine! TC Helicon left no stone unturned when they created the VoiceLive 2! There are so many variables and customizable facets that it requires quite a bit of reading and playing with the machine to fully use it to the maximum effect. But once you have achieved familiarity with all of the options presented to you, things start to become fun and interesting! Admittedly, I don't have a producer's ear, so I spent a lot of time figuring out what worked, but constantly tweaking settings until I was satisfied just cannot be any easier. I do think that I was expecting my untrained voice to sound more polished, but maybe I'm just that bad of a singer haha! I play guitar and drums, so what did I expect! However, after spending a day away from some sample recordings, I do believe that my voice sounded more round, less harsh, and generally more pleasing than unprocessed through a PA. The VoiceLive 2 was probably intended for Pop music and other heavily processed sounds in modern music, and not only for Country and Rock like I play. I don't think that I will ever much use the chorus feature (which does sound awesome by the way!) or any of the hardtune effects, but it's nice to know that the options are there and that the device is powerful enough to provide those things. The absolute best part about this device though, is the excellent array of stomp buttons that are clearly labeled and illuminated! I essentially only need one preset for an entire show because that one, single preset has so many effects ready to be applied along with the ability to momentarily hold a button for a specific sound. Overall, the Voicelive 2 is so powerful and so capable, that it might be too much machine for singers who only perform certain styles, such as Worship at their church or Classic Rock at a bar. As I said above, it's fascinating and incredible that the machine is capable of so much and I would rather have all of it's power if I need it.

Product Review Unit appears to work well, but have several IMPORTANT questions about operation that I can't get answers to, as there is NO WAY to reach a HUMAN or get a "response" e-mail from T.C. HELICON... NON-EXISTENT "customer service" or SUPPORT! After 2 WEEKS of trying to reach a PERSON and sending e-mails with NO RESPONSE, I will be RETURNING unit should I can't get answers to my questions. It's a shame, as I have have and love several T.C. Helicon products, but something as complex as this unit need questions answered by a HUMAN. The lack of "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" will cost T.C. HELICON this sale... AMS Responds: Sorry to hear you had this experience with TC Helicon. If you ever have an experience like this again, please reach out to the AMS Tech department as they are willing to work with the Manufacturer on your behalf.

Product Review I caught a flash sale on this and it delivers just as claims say ' Solid harmony's from simple 3rd to full choir with inputs for guitar, keys, midi, with the latest effects even autotune like T-pain. Also it makes a good usb interface for recording and patch storage and updates. Killer pedal

Product Review I am glad I own the VoiceLive2, it really adds amazing new dimensions to my vocals. I'd have given it another star if it came with a useful manual, and changing the parameters of the presets was more intuitive. But I like it and will spend time getting to know it.

Very durable construction. Bet feature is the ability to instantly add pitch, tone and dessing correcton to your voice, which gives it a larger and fuller sound. The only feature I would add to it is an easier way to access the vloop option via seperate footswitch. Out of the box just browse through the multitude of presets and your voice becomes a full range instrument. Easy to learn the adjustments for each preset to the key of a song that suits your particular vocal range. The tone is great! I have only owned this a couple of months now but so far everything is fine. Your general opinion of this product. Highly recommend this to any artist wanting to expand their vocals to new heights!

Great product not sure about company's tech support tho so far not good

Seems well made mechanically but being the piece is primarily digital and TC Helicon's support somewhere between lukewarm and indifferent, I am concerned about ending up with some pricey paperweight. I have had this happen before with other tech gear from other companies once they start pushing some newer thing. Support separates good companies from great ones to me, and so far the product itself gets an A+, AMS gets an A for effort and the TC Helicon Co. gets a D (for disappointing). The overall concept is great. I like it's versatility from the more tradition processing roles flanging, delay, reverb but also the unique qualities of choral harmonies and doubling stuff makes a nice package you can familiarize yourself with and take into any venue with you and know what to expect rather than going to a club with an unknown engineer who has A) a tin ear B) an agenda -i.e. is buddies with another band you're on the same bill as and wants them to sound good at your expense C) is an idiot or D) is legitimately trying to get you dialed in based on the scant info you were able to give him 20 minutes before your set. Pretty easy and self explanatory for the most part and when I described it's layout to my friend who is a singer only he was excited because of the simplicity of it. Great sound. Only had it a month but it seems rugged enough so far. Your general opinion of this product. Great product. Support from the company in Canada leaves a lot to be desired (25 days after purchase still have a couple questions not in the manual that still have yet to be answered, and they make it somewhat of a pain to ask. Buried phone #'s etc. the saving grace is the unit was purchased from AMS and those reps are johnny-on-the-spot. I emailed 2 questions to some 3rd party the TC Helicon contracted and roughly 25 days later still no answer, my guess at this point is the answer will arrive anyday by carrier pigeon or stagecoach, unless somebody shot the bird on it's way here. My questions are simple on how to make 2 of higher level patches work, which is not in the manual but other than not having those answers the other 98% percent of the unit seems great.

Valuable Equipment

Other than the foot button "sticking" I have had no trouble. Plug and Play! On-board tuner. Pitch Correction. Guitar FX. Great Presets. Easy to use out of the box with just the presets. Programming is difficult without the manual. GREAT! Natural sounding harmonies. Had mine for 3 weeks when the Harmony button started to "stick." AMS quickly exchanged the unit with no trouble. Your general opinion of this product. If your a lead singer and your backgrounds leave alot to be desired, this is for you! If you perform solo, this is for you!

Best Harmonizer on the market

By: Rick Smith      Submitted: 4/25/2010

It seems to be built very durable and the knobs are easy to accsess Very easy to use, The only thing that is needed for this is a Editor, why they dont have one for it is crazy, its a must have !! I hope they come out with one soon. The VL2 is very easy to use and adjust, even in a live show you can quickly adjust anything you need without searching, also has a very big and bright display screen. This has the best vocal effects and guitar effects on the market, very very clear Havent had it that long, but things are going just fine Your general opinion of this product. This is the best harmonizer on the market in its class for the gigging musician. There are a few firmware problems with it that they are working on to correct like,If you change vocal double gender It will get set back to 0 when you power down and back on, The first thing you need to do is a system backup and install the new firmware update from the TC Helicon web site.

The reality

It is good! I have had some weird buzzing when I have tried to use the hold chorus feature, don't know what that is about. My favorite features so far are the harmonies and the doubling. Tweeking the harmonies to be more of how you would want them to be is a great feature. there is a humanization control as well but find the more human or sloppy you try to let it be the less real sounding the harmonies bec ome. This is a fairly intuitive unit, alot of fun. My kids love it as well and enjoy how great the harmonizing sounds and the cool effects. Great tone I've had it about a month now, still getting used to it. I've done some recording with it and like it so far. I still have a lot to learn. Your general opinion of this product. This is a great tool for vocals, and while I would love to have a real vocalist backing me up that really knows what they're doing. the reality is that there aren't that many people out there that can hang in there where I want them so. This gets me what I want without all the added baggage.

It looks well built There seems to be pretty much everything you need built in to it, including pitch correction It is actually easy to use but for those who want ultra simple it could be a little intimidating. I personaly love the amount of customization it allows. This is the best sounding harmonizer I've heard at this price range. Not just the harmonies but also the processing all sound pretty darn good. You can go to my website and hear for your self at dave-young.us/samples.html I'll let you know in a year or so. Your general opinion of this product. I really like this box. I hope it is reliable and lasts for a long time. I bought it for live shows but I even use it in my studio as a harmonizer and pre-amp.

it is very well made i love the auto tune. i get to play acoustic music now and sound like a rapper its so funny Once i got the voice live 2 i pulled it out of the box and plugged it in with no trouble. It sounded awesome i cant imagine not using it now. the only complaint is that the instruction manual is a little week, but once you spend time with it you figure it all out anyways. i would tell anyone to get one. if you have a project studio, or play out this is a very helpful piece of equipment. better than not having it very reliable once you learn to use it Your general opinion of this product. overall must get

Well made and ready to roll. The presets are great, but you can tweak things to your hearts delight. It's easy to use if you take the time to understand the way it works. Very intuitive. The tone is true, top notch. It always works great. Your general opinion of this product. Versatile tool. Use when needed and it will really elevate you presentation.
